Music | Radio Commander: Singing you until you are unhappy

I don't like many bands, but there is one band that has always occupied the most of my offline song memory, and they are "Radiohead", which is Chinese translated as Radiomaster, well, it is also translated as Radio Head. The band's name is based on a song by The Talkingheads, Radio Head.

Radiohead is an alternative rock band from Abington, Oxfordshire, England, formed in 1985. The band consisted of Tom York (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Johnny Greenwood (lead guitar, keyboard, other instruments), Ed Obray (guitar, chorus), Colin Greenwood (bass), and Phil Theoway (drums, percussion).

In 1992, Radio commander released their debut single "Creep", but the initial release was not good, and it was only a few months after the release of their debut album "Dear Pebbono" that "Creep" quickly became an international hit single. To this day, it is also a must-hear for European and American songs.

After releasing their second album The Bends in 1995, the band's popularity in the UK skyrocketed. The third album "OK Computer", released in May 1997, brought them a high international reputation, and surprisingly the album was released in Japan and the following day in Spain. It wasn't until June that the album was released worldwide. The album didn't get a lot of repercussions, but it was well received in rock circles. It's also one of my favorite albums. The album's vocals' expansive singing and socially alienated themes have made the album a landmark record of the 1990s.

I've always felt that Radiohead has an inexplicable "ambiguous" relationship with Japan, which makes me very "jealous", (joking) haha. For example, in the movie "Confessions" adapted from Minami Kanae's novel, Radiohead's "Last Flowers" appears at the end. "Confessions" is a very good movie, and Minami is my favorite Japanese writer, so it was a surprise and surprise to see this collision! Recommend that you have time to see this movie.

In 1997, the band members were interviewed by a tidal wave of media outlets around the world. During this period, the band rehearsed almost as little as possible. Lead singer Thom hopes the band will produce a classic album that will rival The Beatles' "Day In The Life."

Many people think that Ok Computer is a Modern Rock album, and big producer Nic Harcourt shares the same view. The American media believes that "Ok Computer" is completely an album that flatters Americans, and only the neurotic singing of lead singer Thom maintains the British style.

In 1998, the band released a new EP, No Surprises, which is also a must-hear track to learn about Radiohead. What is the meaning of a classic song? It is 20 years later, you do not feel that it has passed, but with the unique temperament of that era, its calm is too suitable for the current impetuousness.

Radiohead has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, and their work is still regularly featured in listeners' votes and critics' lists, both in the 1990s and the 2000s.

In 2005, they were ranked 73rd in Rolling Stone Magazine's "Greatest Artist of All Time" poll. Meanwhile, Johnny Greenwood (ranked 48th) and Ed O'Brie were each named to the list of "Greatest Guitarists of All Time" and Tom York was named to the list of "Greatest Singers of All Time" (ranked 66th). In 2009, the band came in second place in Rolling Stone's 2000s "Best Artist Reader's Poll."

The first song I came into contact with them was Creep, which I saw in the Damien Rice song review at the time. The second song is let down, and after listening to it, I can't help but want to know about this band. OK Computer is an album that is too sad, but also too good to listen to. I don't know how to evaluate music as the right one. Songs that have always been considered good are songs that can touch the hearts of listeners, songs that can resonate, whether it is rock, hip hop, folk or pop, there is no distinction between high and low. What's the title called "Singing You Unhappy"? I am usually very rational, basically do not cry, yesterday because of chatting with friends to think back about some things, the mood is very down, this time, the song in my ear jumped to Radiohead's "A Wolf At the Door", I burst into tears.

Chorus part of the lyrics:

I keep the wolf from the door

But he calls me up instead

Calls me on the phone said to me

Tells me all the ways that he's gonna mess me up He has countless ways to bring me down

Steal all my children he will steal all my children

if I don't pay the ransom if I don't pay the ransom

But I'll never see him again if I call the police for help

If I squeal to the cops I will never see my children again

Music is a matter of opinion, but I would definitely recommend this veteran band to you because the quality is worth it.
