Baotou, July 31 (China News Network) -- On the 31st, the 31st Inner Mongolia Tourism Naadam Conference opened in the Damao Grassland of Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and more than 30 activities ignited passion on the grassland.
"Naadam" is a traditional festival with a long history of the Mongolian people, and in 2006, it was included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list. Tourism Naadam is a brand tourism festival focused on in Inner Mongolia in recent years, which has been successfully held for 30 consecutive years and has become a bright business card of Inner Mongolia's cultural tourism.
The opening ceremony of the Naadam Conference on the same day was composed of eight squares, including the Hada phalanx, the "Chinese Nation Family Affinity" phalanx, the "Concerted Efforts to Build Baogang" phalanx, the "3,000 Orphans Into Inner Mongolia" phalanx, and the "Grassland Heroes Little Sisters" phalanx, and at the same time, traditional sports such as horse walking, speed horses, and Bock performances took turns. The opening ceremony will also feature a spectacular drone aerial performance and a laser show.

The reporter learned that this year's tourism Naadam Conference includes the opening ceremony and evening party; 13 literary and artistic activities such as electronic music festivals and special concerts; 9 sports competition activities such as boxing, speed horse racing, horse walking, archery; 7 cultural and tourism activities such as grassland tourism experience and camping tent festival; 5 business and trade activities such as government and enterprise earnest talks, investment promotion and recommendation, and exhibition and sales of characteristic tourism commodities. The event will run until August 11, during which the 8th Nomadic Cultural Tourism Festival of Damao United Flag will be held at the same time.
Wei Zhiguo, deputy director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Inner Mongolia, introduced that this year's Naadam will organically combine national traditions with modern consumption, and on the basis of doing the traditional projects of Younaadamu, add projects such as gastronomy, performing arts, cultural creativity, intangible cultural heritage and green agricultural and livestock products display.
Zhang Rui, deputy secretary of the Baotou Municipal Party Committee and mayor, said that Naadam is a traditional event that has been passed down for a long time by the people of the grassland, an important window for Inner Mongolia to show a beautiful landscape, an important platform for exchanges and exchanges among the people of all ethnic groups, and an important carrier for promoting the integration and development of culture and tourism.
