The anime "Love Like Rain" is based on the manga of the same name that began in 2014 in the weekly BIG COMICS SPIRITS under the elementary school hall, and is written by Mei Yueji. The original work was considered a "pure orthodox love story" and became a topic of conversation, and was nominated for the "Manga Awards 2016" and "This Manga Is Really Powerful 2016". With the cumulative circulation of the manga exceeding 1.85 million, the TV animation was officially launched.
The story tells that Tachibana Jing, a female high school student with a cold personality, is the ace of the high school athletics department, but one day she had to give up running because of an injury. Later, in the family restaurant where she worked, she met Masako Kondo, the manager of Wannian who had given up on his dream. Tachibana seems to have found a sense of commonality in the 45-year-old and is deeply attracted to it. In the first episode of the manga, Tachibana confessed to the store manager, and this narrative method also had to make people care about the subsequent development.
According to the original author, Mei Yue, the manga was originally a short story written by Mei Yue, which was to describe the relationship between a female high school student and Chinese teacher. And this Chinese teacher, in reality, there are still prototypes, although the appearance is different, the personality is almost exactly the same. Later, in order to weaken the impression of "forbidden love between teachers and students", Kindo became the manager of the restaurant. The animation was produced by WITT STUDIO. Among them, the series consists of Akao Deco, who has participated in "Arakawa Hilarious Troupe" and "Noyoshi Shin"; the character design and general drawing supervision is played by Yuka Shibata, who has previously written "Good to Tell You" and "Magical Girl Sister Youyou and Ningning"; the music is Yoshimata Ryo, who has scored many TV series and movies such as "Tokuhime" and "The Doctor's Journal of the Outlying Islands".
