01. Life under war
</h1>
Joseph and Maria struggled under fascism.
Before the war, Joseph was a successful sales manager. Forced by helplessness, he now sleeps all day long, escaping from society.
However, the heavens did not obey the wishes, and the Jewish neighbor David was cornered and had to defect to Joseph and his wife.
Between self-preservation and morality, the Josephs chose the latter.
They hid David in a secret compartment behind the closet.
In wartime, almost every Czech family had such a secret compartment
Blessings are incomparable, and misfortunes are not alone.
The visit of the uninvited guest Horst made the family tense up in an instant.
Although Horst was Czech, he was a Nazi lackey.
In order to hide David, the Josephs had to smile together.

Protecting David, the Josephs endured all kinds of disasters.

Horst decided to move him to Joseph's house.

Maria is in a hurry, lying that she is pregnant and must keep a house for her child.
Horst sneered, knowing that the Joseph family was in trouble.
Maria's lie raises a series of questions

In prison, Joseph did not find a doctor, but accidentally found his lackey Hauser.
Joseph was full of emotions, and he did not care about the previous suspicions, and lied to the government army that Horst was a doctor.
Horst thus passed by the Grim Reaper.

As a result, "The Closely Watched Train" is wonderful, and "The Night Diamond" is amazing.
Czechs are fools who laugh.
They start with small characters and tell ordinary stories in still water.
