Erlian Village is 15 km from the county seat of Guide. It is said that because there were officers and men of the Second Company of a certain garrison unit stationed here in the past, this place was named Erlian Village. Erlian Village is the largest village in the water area along the Yellow River in Guide County, as a village that "grows" from the desert beach, Erlian Village relies on the unique Yellow River shoal wetland resources and rich farming culture to plant flowers and open-air vegetables on a large scale in the form of land circulation, to create farmhouses and boutique homestays, and to continuously increase the added value of rural tourism. "The wetlands and ecological resources of the Yellow River provide good resources for the development of rural tourism in Erlian Village," Ma Haoxin, director of the Party and Government Office of Garang Township, told reporters. Through the holding of rural tourism promotion and agricultural product picking cultural festivals, rural tourism cooking competitions, farmhouse pot steamed steamed bun evaluation and other activities, Erlian Village highlighted the high-quality development achievements of the upper reaches of the Yellow River, strive to improve the popularity of characteristic agricultural products, and create new highlights of rural tourism culture.
At the end of 2019, the entire village of Erlian Village was lifted out of poverty. At the same time as the pockets bulged, the villagers' awareness of environmental protection was further enhanced. "The masses want to increase income, the industry to develop, and the wetlands to be protected – this has become the consensus of the villagers in Erlian Village." Ma Haoxin said. In the past few years, Erlian Village has built a garbage compression treatment station, a centralized sewage treatment station, and mobilized some villagers to become ecological stewards, picking up garbage along the river every day, patrolling the reeds near the village, and dissuading wild fishing personnel.
Jia Shengjin, a 59-year-old villager who is the ecological steward in the village, has often stretched his family's economy over the years due to illness. After becoming an ecological steward, his stable income solved his "urgent needs". Jia Shengjin said: "Now the policies of the party and the state are honest and good, and we have taken care of all aspects. I grew up by the Yellow River when I was a child, the Yellow River is our mother river, I hope that the Yellow River will be clean and our Erlian Village will become a beautiful village. ”
