Wubao Stone City
Panorama of Wubao
From the foot of Baiyun Mountain in Jia County, along the Yellow River all the way south, it arrives in wubao county. Wubao is known as "the closest county seat to the Yellow River". There are ninety-nine bays in the Yellow River, and Wubao is on one of them. On a summer night, standing on the mountain of Linxian County in Shanxi Province opposite Wubao, looking at Wubao, the Mother River flows slowly, and the night view of Wubao County is as beautiful as "Victoria Harbor".
The whole line along the Yellow Highway runs through, so that the cultural relics attractions such as the thousand-year-old ancient stone city and the Guoxue Tongyuan Hall in Wubao County are completely "alive".
Wang Xiangxian, a 90-year-old man
The only long-term resident of Millennium Stone City
Wubao Stone City, located on the peak of the west bank of the Yellow River 2.5 kilometers east of Wubao County, is the most complete preserved thousand-year-old county town in northwest China. It winds along the Yellow Highway down the hill. The ancient city is built on the mountain, winding and undulating, in an irregular circle, with four gates in the east, west, south and north, and an urn city at the south gate, named "Stone City". Ancient Stone City is a national key cultural relics protection unit.
On July 10, the reporter came to Wubao Stone City. Entering The Stone City from the South Gate, a dirt road extends into the city, flanked by stone kiln compounds built with stone. On the whole road, there was only the bright sun and the sound of knowledge, and the low stone wall, and there was no figure. The yard was full of grass, some wooden doors had fallen off, and the ancient city had been uninhabited for a long time. However, the lintel of each courtyard is posted with a newer-looking Spring Festival, which is quite puzzling. How can people still post the Spring League?
Coming to the center of the city, the reporter finally found a courtyard with intact doors and windows. This yard is the office of the ancient city management office. A staff member here answered the reporter's questions. She said those couplets were posted by them, every year. She also told reporters about a surprising situation: the ancient stone city also lived in a 90-year-old long-term resident Wang Xiangxian. Still living with an old man? Her words aroused the curiosity of the reporter, who was eager to see the old man.
Wang Xiangxian, a native of Shicheng, Wubao, taught in his hometown after being demobilized from the army in 1949 and retired from Wubao County Middle School in 1980.
Under the guidance of the staff of the management office, the reporter found the residence of the elderly Wang Xiangxian. The courtyard was neat and clean, with two kittens lying prone in the shade. Seeing that someone was coming, the kitten "meowed" a few times. Following the sound of the conversation, the reporter entered the cave. Old Man Wang Xiangxian was sitting on a clay kang talking to his daughter. Except for his poor hearing, the old man looked very energetic. After explaining his intentions, Wang Xiangxian was busy with kang and was very enthusiastic. Sitting in the shade outside the cave, he told reporters about the origins of Stone City.
"When I was a child, there were more than 500 people living in Wubao Shicheng, there were boys' and girls' schools, there were armies, there were prisons, Shicheng was a neat house at that time, densely populated, merchants gathered, it was a relatively prosperous place within a radius of tens of miles, and there were many temples and shrines such as the City God Temple, the Zushi Temple, the Dragon King Temple, and the Wenchang Palace." Wang Xiangxian told reporters that in the spring of 1938, the ancient city was shelled by the Japanese army invading China across the river, and the damage was serious, and the chimney of the family collapsed at that time. In 1947, Hu Zongnan's planes also bombed the ancient city, and the thousand-year-old wubao ancient city was "scaled and wounded".
"The cave I live in has a history of more than 200 years, and I have been living in Shicheng since I retired, and my children live in the city, but I don't want to move out, I feel comfortable living in Shicheng. I have a deep affection for Shicheng, grew up here, when the traffic was not convenient and it was difficult to draft water. After 1945, most of the people in Wubao Stone City moved away. Wang Xiangxian said.
Wang Xiangxian told reporters that in order to protect the remains of the ancient city and let the culture of the ancient stone city be inherited, he marked the county office, school, temple, archway and other buildings of the ancient city according to his childhood memories. Based on memory and related articles, a pamphlet called "Spring and Autumn in the Ancient City of Wubao" was also compiled. Over the years, Elder Wang has publicized Shicheng through this booklet, calling on all sectors of society to pay attention to Shicheng and protect the relics of Shicheng.
Whenever tourists came, Wang Xiangxian would always take them to walk in Shicheng and explain the prosperity of Shicheng's former "Daily Jin Doujin".
Wang Yani after 90
Docent of the Guoxue Museum along the Yellow Road
About 3 kilometers away from the bank of the Yellow River, there is an antique building containing a variety of styles, which is tongyuantang. Tongyuantang GuoxueGuan was built in May 2016 with a personal investment of more than 50 million yuan by Mr. Zhang Yaoqi, member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference of Shaanxi Province, deputy director of the Cultural and Historical Committee, and chairman of Xi'an Yao deshun Group, who is a native of Zhangjiayuan Village. The museum covers a total area of 10,000 square meters, with a construction area of more than 8,800 square meters. It is a stepped antique building, which is built on the mountain, magnificent, towering pavilions, pavilions, exquisite design, reasonable layout, and is an antique landmark building in Wubao County.
Born in 1995, Wang Yani graduated from Shaanxi Preschool Normal College in 2017 and worked as a docent at tongyuantang Guoxue Museum.
"Every day, facing the morning sun, I came to work at the Guoxue Museum, which is more than ten kilometers away from my home. Guoxueguan is a seven-story Ming and Qing dynasty antique complex. The gratitude cabinet at the top of the museum, like an old man, would tell me every day that people should always have a grateful heart. Our motherland is prosperous and prosperous, we need to be grateful; our hometown is out of poverty and rich, we need to be grateful; the parenting grace of our parents, we need to be grateful. It can also be seen that investors are grateful for their hometown returns. Wang Yani said that walking into the Tongyuantang Guoxue Hall felt a kind of peace of mind. It does not have the hustle and bustle of bustling cities, there is no emptiness of deserted mountains, it is a unique ease and leisure. Mention it and there's an endless story to tell.
"After graduation, I just needed a resident docent at tongyuantang Guoxueguan, so I came. In this year of work, I have received many tourists of different identities, and I can get some insights from every explanation and exchange. In the process of each explanation, I was particularly excited, there were endless words, and I thought that I wanted to pass on the traditional culture to every tourist. When I had not been in contact with Sinology before, I always felt that such a boring and boring text was not interesting, and since I opened the book in my spare time, I found that the classics of Sinology have its unique charm. Wang Yani said that sometimes friends will come to the Guoxue Museum to find themselves when they are under psychological pressure, and then they will take friends to visit and communicate, and after a round of visits, friends said: "I seem to have a new idea, and my vision has broadened a lot, not so impetuous." ”
Wang Yani told reporters that in this summer, the GuoxueGuan began to hold primary school students' Chinese studies training again, bathed in the soft morning light every day, and the sound of Reading Lang Lang came from the ear: "Disciple rules, saint training, first filial piety, second sincere faith." Pan loves the crowd, while the pro-benevolent, with spare strength, learns literature. "Chinese studies is like a spring breeze blowing into our campus, into our classrooms, into our hearts, as a docent of the Guoxue Museum, every day from the afterglow of the recitation, feel the students' little changes and growth, is a happy thing."
"Many children's study of Sinology is carried out in Tongyuantang. Children eat, live and study here, and afterwards they can recite the Three Character Sutra and the Thousand Character Text. Wang Yani told reporters, "Near the Tongyuantang is the railway station, and the road outside the gate leads directly to the main arterial road, and the traffic is very convenient." After the opening of the Yellow Road, the traffic is more convenient, and many tourists come here with their children to learn Chinese culture. ”
"The long-standing classics of Traditional Chinese studies are the enduring spiritual treasures of Chinese civilization." Wang Yani said that a few days ago, she also chatted with several parents who had participated in the training of primary school students in Chinese studies, and parents said that their children would not be picky eaters after returning home, and they would help their parents wash dishes after eating. There was a child who didn't know what to read there before eating, and the parent asked, "What are you talking about?" The child said, "I am reciting this lesson on diet in the disciple rules." After reading the child's words and deeds, parents deeply sighed that the child could not only recite the classics of traditional Chinese studies, but also used it, indicating that kung fu was not in vain.
Wang Yani told reporters that Tongyuantang can not only learn Chinese studies, but also has folk customs and cuisines in northern Shaanxi such as cave dwellings, earthen kang, red dates, rice wine, And Zhangjiashan noodles, which are all good choices for tourists along the Yellow River to experience the houses of northern Shaanxi in Wubao. Tongyuantang can allow visitors to experience the special cave hotel style, tourists can sit cross-legged on the kang, or promote knee talk, or taste tea and discuss the Tao, or drink a little drunk, experience the warm winter and cool summer cave life.
The reporter learned that in June 2017, Mr. Zhang Yaoqi donated Tongyuantang to the Wubao County Government free of charge, in order to commend Mr. Zhang Yaoqi's love for the motherland, love for his hometown, and carry forward the fine traditions of the Chinese nation, the Wubao County Government decided to rename Tongyuantang to "Wubao County Tongyuantang Guoxue Museum". The museum has now been named "Yulin Patriotism Education Base", "Yulin City Leading Cadres Chinese Studies Training Base" and "Yulin Youth Study Travel Training Base" by The Yulin Municipal Government.
The staff of the Propaganda Department of the Wubao County CPC Committee told reporters that Tongyuantang has driven the development of Tourism along the Yellow River in Wubao, prospered the regional economy, and played an important role in the protection and inheritance of folk culture in northern Shaanxi.
