All said: On the second of February, the dragon looked up. So what are the traditional customs on the first day of February? Let's take a look at the traditional customs of this day.
The first day of the second month of the lunar calendar is the "Birthday of the Sun", which is what we call the "Birthday of the Sun". At the same time, the first day of the first month of february in the lunar calendar is also known as the "Zhonghe Festival". I am raising flowers and green plants, to see what customs and legends, together to discuss and communicate.

First, the origin of the Neutralization Festival
According to the Book of Tang, during the Tang Dynasty, Li Bi wrote to him to ask for the first day of the first month of February as the Zhonghe Festival. This is the common ideal of the monarchs and the people, hoping that Zhongzheng will live in peace and harmony and create a prosperous dynasty.
Agricultural proverb: "Spring wind wheat rises, a moment is worth a thousand gold". In ancient times, spring ploughing was a very important thing. At the time of the vernal equinox, the sun reaches zero degrees of ecliptic longitude, and the sun hovers near the equator, day and night, with direct sunlight. This is the time of cultivation, and people sacrifice the sun.
In ancient times, there were: "Spring Equinox Festival Day, Autumn Equinox Festival Moon". During the reign of Emperor Dezong of Tang, he adopted the suggestion of the chancellor Li Bi and determined that the first day of February be the Zhonghe Festival. On this day, the sun is sacrificed, nongsang is encouraged, and a good harvest is prayed. Especially in the Ming and Qing dynasties, on this day the emperor had to "cultivate the royal", help the plough to cultivate, show heavy agriculture, and give hundreds of grains.

and in the folk, people worship the sun god, drink neutral wine, and give each other knives and rulers, encourage farming, pray for a prosperous life, and the peace of the country.

Second, what are the traditional foods of the Zhonghe Festival
As we all know, during the New Year's Festival, traditional food is indispensable. Like dumplings for the New Year, tangyuan for the Lantern Festival, mooncakes for the Mid-Autumn Festival, and zongzi for the Dragon Boat Festival.
What traditional cuisine did this traditional festival have in the past?
Answer: The birthday of the sun, naturally inseparable from the sun cake.
The relevant record says: "The Kyoshi then used rice as a cake, printed gold and black round light, used it for the day, went around the streets and alleys, and sold it, known as the Sun Chicken Cake."
There is also a record: "On the first day of February, the people of the city made rice dough into a small cake, five pieces of one layer, and more than inches of chicken were inserted on it, which is called the sun cake."
You see! The sun cake is basically a round cake with the sun on it, and some have a rooster on it, which means that the sun rises and the golden rooster announces the dawn to welcome the arrival of the new day.
Third, how to live the festival of neutrality
In the past, on the first day of February, people prepared sun cakes, faced each other, burned incense and prostrated themselves, and worshipped the sun and stars.
In ancient times, there was a "male does not worship the moon, and the female does not worship the day", and on this day, it is usually sacrificed by men. At the same time, the paper money, paper yuan treasure, etc., and hung the five-colored money attached to the door during the Spring Festival, and also took it off and burned it, called sun money and food. I hope to bless people with abundant grain and money.
On this day, people travel to the Sun Palace in groups of three or five, not only to worship the sun god, but also to enjoy the scenery in spring and welcome the beautiful time of spring.

now, this custom has slowly faded, and the seller of sun cakes is rare. However, in the past farming era, on this day, it was very popular to eat sun cakes, and at the same time, it was used to sacrifice the sun star king and pray for the abundance of grain.

On this day, spring is warm and blossoming, and spring is full of spring, which is a good time to cultivate. In ancient times, local officials had to inspect farmland ditches and field waterways. And wide ditches and irrigation of farmland to ensure a bumper harvest of grain and prosperity for the people.
