Liu Anxue, King of Huainan, committed suicide by not being refined (Total 64)

These things are the most important in the Zizhi Tongjian

Zizhi Tongjian, vol. 19: "In the beginning, Wang An of Huainan, good at reading and literature, and established a reputation, attracted thousands of guests and practitioners. ”

Huainanzi. "Therefore, if you write twenty books, then the reasoning of heaven and earth will be investigated, the affairs of the world will be taken care of, and the way of the emperor will be prepared!"

The king of Huainan was good at reading and literature, and he was happy to establish a reputation, but he was not good at learning huang laoshu, and eventually committed suicide

To what extent is Liu An, the King of Huainan, "good at reading and belonging to literature"? He is the author of twenty books, and he discusses the interrelationship between nature and man in heaven and earth. It can also be called knowledgeable. However, in his appraisal of Wang Fuzhi, a historian, he said: "Those who plot to raise the army, lead the strategy of child drama; those who are with him, and the king of Hengshan who is in the twilight of the child, and the prince Qian'er." If the rebellion fails, the soldiers shall not be moved, and they will kill themselves in the palace, and their foolishness will be terrible, and their madness will not be ruined. "The gist of it is: look at the fact that he wants to lead the army to rebel, it is simply to play a game with xiao'er, and he and the mutiniers together are actually young and ignorant, such as Liu Xi, the king of Hengshan, and Liu Qian, the prince. The result was that the plot of rebellion was not yet mature, the army was not gathered, and they had to commit suicide in their own court, which was really stupid enough to make people cry and laugh, and the whole neurosis was hopeless.

Chenggao County in Huainan has a relevant pass, but it is not easy to hold, and the terrain of Shanchuan County is indeed precipitous, but it is not so easy to occupy. Knowing that he did not have the ability to compete with Wei Qing, he wanted to get lucky that the assassins he sent could succeed.

Imagine, even if Liu An successfully raised an army and began to rebel, could he withstand the suppression of Wei Qing, the famous general of Sima Da? Well, if he thought it was thoughtful, he sent assassins to assassinate Wei Qing, even if he succeeded in assassinating Wei Qing, how could he stop the great general Huo Fu who came one after another? Therefore, he sent a lobbyist in an attempt to win over the chancellor, but even if Gongsun Hong, the chancellor, was not a mainstay minister, was it so easy to be persuaded by him? This third duke who started out in poverty and is now in a high position, as the protagonist of the famous "Gongsun Bu Quilt", he despises material life, what will there be to ask him for the king of Huainan? As readers of the Zizhi Tongjian, we really can't help but worry about it: Liu An, in the face of a powerful general like Emperor Wu of Han and a fierce general like Wei Qing, under the hanging ghost head knife, replaced by someone else, who dared to risk killing the Nine Tribes? Alas, the erudite King of Huainan!

Internally, what Liu An could rely on was the strict assistance of the Middle Doctor, who had a clever mouth and was never pragmatic; externally, he could rely on a few frivolous city scoundrels, such as Zuo Wu, Zhao Xian, and Zhu Jiao, and then the wu who looked ahead and looked back. Wu Was, who had always been supported by Liu An as a scholar, but he was a guy with different ambitions hidden next to the protagonist, and Liu An had no idea about the character of this kind of person. Stupid to such an extent, Zhu Gaoxu and Zhu Chenhao, who launched a rebellion in the later Ming Sect, were not clever and dismissive of it. If Liu An is praised by later generations for his writing, how can there be a proverbial saying that "Xiucai rebelled for ten years"? It can only be said: the writing is not enough to distinguish whether a person is wise and stupid, for example, Liu An, the king of Huainan, plotted against him!

Is Liu An's writing really good? It's not really that way. Wang Fuzhi said of him: "Take the book of An and read it, the original words of the old clan, and mixed with the words of the debaters." "To the effect that I took Liu An's books and read them, it turned out that they were full of Lao Tzu's teachings, mixed with some eloquent and untrue eloquence. The meaning is: Liu An has no things of his own, just take doctrines, and pile up some rhetoric.

The king of Huainan was good at reading and literature, and he was happy to establish a reputation, but he was not good at learning huang laoshu, and eventually committed suicide

Liu An, the king of Huainan, was good at reading literature and was happy to establish a reputation, but he did not learn huang laoshu well, which eventually led to suicide.

Those who believe in Lao Tzu's teachings, relying on the fur of the Taoist techniques they have learned, want to control the so-called laws of fate, such as the changes in heaven and earth, the good fortunes and misfortunes of mankind. However, even Lao Tzu himself could not say a single reason for the yin and yang changes of all things in the world. However, Liu An thought that by relying on these spells, he could gain insight into the signs of the development of the so-called nature and things in heaven and earth, and in this way he could achieve and realize his personal goals and wishes. Unfortunately, since he had rebelled against the main law of the movement of heaven and earth, he could only be helpless when the harshness of the laws of nature was presented to him. However, Lord Liu An could not know himself, and he still thought that he had been able to perceive the changes in heaven and earth, and he had mastered the mysteries hidden in them, so he thought that there was nothing in the world that he could not do.

Liu An's actions were just like an infant, seeing the Defensive Warrior Meng Ben and the Western Zhou warrior Xia Yu in the Spring and Autumn Period, picking up a straw from the ground and throwing it at the feet of Zhao Zhao Wufu, and thinking that he had become a hero. If a person acts according to such an academic principle, he will make him absurd, unethical and arrogant, and will go everywhere to do what he wants, and then he will not be able to find the north for who he really is.

Liu An finally used his little bit of Huang Lao's doctrine to intimidate Emperor Wu of Han's Huang Lao plot, and as a result, he committed suicide. Is his death not intrinsically linked to this?

Why is it said that Liu An's Huang Laozhi Technique is just a little bit of learning? Lao Tzu, the founder of the Taoist family, taught his disciples and disciples to stay away from things that produce auspiciousness and life and death, but he Liu An was always in danger and could not know himself. The official took the time to read Liu An's book, and remember to learn from this!
