【Properties】It is a gray-green or slightly yellow crystalline powder or granule; there is caramel odor and astringent taste. Soluble in hot water, soluble in water, almost insoluble in ethanol.
【Pharmacology and Application】After oral administration, it is absorbed by duodenum, which is less irritating to the gastrointestinal tract, mild effect, high iron utilization rate, and fast onset of action. It is used for iron deficiency anemia caused by various causes, such as malnutrition, chronic blood loss, menorrhagia, pregnancy, and child growth.
【Usage】Oral: prevention, adults 0.3g each time, once a day; children, 0.1g per day, 2 times a day. Treatment, adults, 0.3 to 0.6 g 3 times a day, children, 0.1 to 0.2 g 3 times a day.
【Note】 (1) Occasional symptoms of gastrointestinal irritation, taking it after meals can reduce the symptoms of gastrointestinal irritation.
(2) Avoid drinking tea and eating tannic acid-containing foods within 2 hours after taking the drug.
(3) Patients with bacterial infection should not apply this product.
(4) After taking the drug, the black stool is easily mixed with upper gastrointestinal bleeding.
【Preparation】Tablets (icing tablets): 0.1 g per tablet; 0.3 g. Capsules: 0.25 g; 0.3 g; 0.4 g per capsule. Syrup: 0.25 g (10 ml) per bottle; 0.3 g (10 ml).
