However, Liao Shizong just loved to toss, did not listen to the advice of a number of ministers, that is, to send troops to rescue the Northern Han, actually engaged in a whole sheep feast on the way to the battle, ate meat in large quantities, let go of drinking, and finally drunkenly was cut by Yelü Cha, the son of Liao Taizu's brother Yelü Anduan, and the Liao Shizong family was also killed, fortunately, the little prince Yelü Xian, who was only three years old at the time, escaped the disaster, but because he was too young, he left behind a weak and sickly disease in the war.
Faced with such a situation, none of The younger brothers of Emperor Liao shizong dared to come out to take in the three-year-old baby, and Yelü Jing, who had won the throne, also bought a ride and voluntarily adopted Yelü Xian in the palace. Yelüxian was sick since childhood, often had colds and fevers, usually had diarrhea from time to time, always hung a medicine jar around him, and people also looked very wooden. In the eyes of uncle kings, such a small nephew with a physique would be good to keep his old life, how to compete with them for the throne?
In addition, although Emperor Muzong of Liao put him in the palace and raised him, he did not have a son and a half daughter, and as time passed, he naturally regarded Yelüxian as his own son. However, for more than ten years, in addition to drinking and sleeping every day, he was emotionally wiping the necks of the attendants around him from time to time, and he did not fulfill the responsibility of being a father. In fact, when the uncles were playing a trick of rebellion for the throne, Yelüxian was not idle, he took advantage of his illusion of not being noticed by everyone and had a low IQ, and began to secretly make good friends with high-ranking officials with status, power, and military power in the dynasty. People like Siwun, Han Kuangsi, Gao Xun, yelü Xianshi, and others have long since become his brothers.
After Emperor Muzong of Liao was killed, Yelü Xian, who was considered to have a low IQ, immediately received the urgent report from Neiying Yelü Xian, and decisively took the good jiyou nu li, Xiao Siwen, and Gao Xun to Muzong's office with more than a thousand elite soldiers. Before the uncles could react, Yerushalayim had already completed the handover of power.

However, from the time of Muzong's previous reign, he had arrested the Taiping King, and he could not be the person muzong wanted to pass on the throne. You said that he had a poor physique, but he went from leading his troops straight to the place where Muzong was killed, and continued to arrange high-intensity work, without a good body, really no news.
In May 970, the old man who was the prime minister of the Northern Province was actually killed by bandits, and it was finally found out that it was the uncle Xiao Hai and Hai Li and others who plotted to kill him.
Before the matter was over, in February of the leap year of 972, the King of Qi, Yelü Sagar, and his cousin and brother-in-law also died. In 974, Yerushalayim was deposed for rebellion. In July 976, yelü Onlyhan, the king of Ning, and Gao Xun, the hero of the throne, were removed from their titles. In May 978, he gave Nuli the death penalty and sent someone to kill Gao Xun. Among these heroes, only Yelü Xianshi died of illness in 980 at the age of fifty-three and was able to die well.
