In order to facilitate patients to seek medical treatment, West China Hospital has made great efforts to improve the level of digital intelligence. Sun Lin, director of the Medical Insurance Office of West China Hospital, introduced that the offline business will be transferred online, and there is no need for patients to queue up when reviewing bills. When handling the discharge settlement, there is no need to provide information such as examination reports and medical certificates, and the overall efficiency is greatly improved.
In recent years, Sichuan Province has promoted the implementation of the policy of off-site medical treatment, and realized the direct settlement of inter-provincial off-site medical treatment, including hospitalization and outpatient treatment, which has greatly improved the convenience of off-site medical treatment and enhanced the sense of gain, happiness and security of insured personnel.
Huang Yanping, director of the Provincial Medical Insurance Off-site Settlement Center, introduced that by 2017, the scope of cross-provincial direct settlement services for medical treatment in Sichuan Province will be expanded to 30 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and 3426 hospitals with cross-provincial direct settlement of hospitalization costs will be opened in the province, covering public and private hospitals of all levels, covering 183 counties (cities, districts) in the province.
In order to solve the problems of high cost of medical advances, long reimbursement cycles, and round-trip travel of insured persons across provinces, the coordinating districts in Sichuan Province have also successively launched a "one-way" settlement of medical expenses in different places - multiple reimbursements such as basic medical insurance, supplementary medical insurance, major illness insurance compensation, and medical assistance for insured persons are completed at the same time, and reflected in a settlement document to open up the "last kilometer" of medical treatment in different places.
Up to now, 924,600 hospitalization expenses in Sichuan Province have been directly settled across provinces, involving medical expenses of 16.288 billion yuan, and the fund has paid 9.224 billion yuan.
