On July 24 and 25, the 23rd Nongshim Cup Tri-Nations Go Tournament Korea Qualifiers were decided. Park Young-hwan, Bian Sang-il and Shin Min-hyun defeated Kim Chang-hoon, Lee Dong-hoon and Won Sung-jin successively to be selected for the Korean team's five-man roster. Coupled with Shin Jin-chan, who was exempted from the first qualification in the rank score, the Korean team has formed the strongest lineup before the card has been decided.

Park Young-hwan, who has been the main player of the Korean team for many years, put forward an application that "I don't want to be a main player and I don't want to be a pioneer" after being shortlisted this year.
As a Go team tournament hosted by South Korea and renowned in the world chess world, the Nongshim Cup has always been a big stage for all Korean chess players to participate. All players will generate three or four ring tickets through the qualifiers, and the organizer will issue wild cards according to the preliminaries. Because the contingency of all the staff pre-selection is too strong, for some time, South Korea will also designate the first person to be directly selected before the pre-selection starts, and Lee Chang-ho and Shin Jin-chan have enjoyed this "welfare" many times.
The 23rd Nongshim Cup reformed the format of the qualifiers while Shin Jin-chan continued to be exempt from the selection. In previous years, the Nongshim Cup used a draw, and each group had to go through a long schedule of six to seven rounds to produce qualifiers. The top chess players are mixed in, and it is inevitable to break the sand. This year's qualifiers will be divided into three stages: a preliminary selection, a second qualifier, and a final qualifier, and the 235 players with a lower ranking will first go through the "one-time qualifier" of the four-round knockout system, and 23 people will enter the second qualifier.

The 24 people who waited in the "second qualifier" ranked eighth to thirty-first, plus Hong Ki-woo, a member of the Korean team of the last Nongshim Cup, totaled 48 people, and after three rounds of competition, 6 people were determined to enter the "final qualifier". In the final preliminary selection, a total of 12 people are composed, in addition to the second pre-selection line, there are 6 people who rank second to seventh in the ranking points, and those who can pass two levels in the final qualifier are eligible to stand in the ring.
A caucuse was held on July 12 and ended on the 15th. The second preliminary selection will be held on July 16, 19 and 20. The final pre-selection will be held on July 21, 23, 24 and 25. Judging from the results, such a format ensures that the top chess players are not upset, which can be said to be the most neat lineup of the Korean team in recent years. But whether it is the "progressive style of play", the name of each stage, and the protection of the "superior chess player", it reveals a strong Japanese Go competition style. In fact, most of the Go games in Korea in the twentieth century were similar pre-selection models, and it can only be said that after a large circle, they returned to the original starting point.

In the final qualifiers, Park Tinghuan won consecutive victories over Ahn Sung-joon and Kim Chang-hoon, Bian Sang-yi defeated Kim Seung-jae and Lee Dong-hoon, and Shin Min-hyun passed Han Heung-kyu and Won Seung-jin in two consecutive passes. Judging from the content of the chess game, except for Shen Min's reversal of the tenacious Yuan Shengqin, it is basically the winner's winning rate for a long time.
The big dark horse of this competition is Kim Chang-hoon's fourth dan, he started from the bottom of the first preliminary, winning kim Il-hwan nine dan, Kim Mi-ri four dan, Lee Kyung-won three dan, Park Hyun-so four dan, Park Hyun-so four dan, Luo Hyun nine dan, Ahn Kok-hyun nine dan, and finally the first round of the preliminary selection and the big reversal Kim Ji-seok nine dan, won eight consecutive wins, but the decisive round failed to turn over Park Young-hwan's mountain.

The only female player to make it into the final preliminary was Choi Seung-kudan, who eliminated Shin Jae-won 3-dan, Kwon Hyo-jin (male) 3-dan and Park Min-kyu 7-dan in the second preliminary, but lost the first round of the preliminary round under the knife of veteran world champion Won Seung-bo.
Cui Jing regretted that Yuan Shengqin.
The only female chess player to pass a preliminary selection was Kim Chae-young Rokudan, who lost to Park Jin-esa in the first round of the second preliminary after winning consecutive victories over Park Jin-sung 4-dan, Song Gyu-sang 5-dan and Choi Ki-hoon 6-dan. The next day has exhausted the power, Wu Qingyuan Cup World Women's Championship lost to Zhongyi Yan.

Among other well-known chess players, Lee Chang-ho, the god of the Nongshim Cup, lost to Song Guixiang in one preliminary selection, Choi Chul-han, Park Yong-hoon, and Jiang Dong-yun's secondary preliminaries were defeated by Hong Zhizhi, An Sung-jun, and Kang Seung-min, and Bai Hong-min was eliminated by Kim Jin-hui in the second preliminary final round. Lee Chang-seok, who has been gaining momentum recently, was also out of the first round of the second qualifier and lost to Han Sang-hoon. Hope Star Moon Min Jong lost to Han Xiongkui in a qualifying decider. Veterans Cao Xuanxuan, Xu Bongsu and Liu Changhe did not register for the competition.

The 23rd Nongshim Cup Chinese team lineup adopts the method of designation + selection, and the world champions Ke Jie and Mi Yuting are exempted from the election within one year, and the remaining three places are selected by 24 national team members after three rounds of elimination. Compared with the ratio of four to one in previous years, this year's Chinese team has expanded the scope of selection.
