According to Taiwan's "China Times" on May 17, Zhong Zhaozheng, a big man in the Hakka literary circle and the "mother of Taiwanese literature," died peacefully in his sleep on the evening of the 16th, at the age of 96. Jiang Huan'an, the daughter-in-law of Zhong Lao's daughter-in-law and former "legislator" of Taiwan, said that the father-in-law was sent to the hospital for a small bruise at home last week, although he had a few stitches, but his physical and mental condition was still good.

Zhong Zhaozheng was born on January 20, 1925 in Hsinchu, Taiwan, attended Tamkang Middle School and Changhua Youth Normal School in Taiwan, and once attended the department of Chinese of National Taiwan University. In the 1950s, when Taiwan was shrouded in "white terror," Zhong Zhaozheng and his literary friends founded the "Wenyou Newsletter" and dared to develop literary seeds under the rule of authority. He also wrote a long novel "Lu Binghua" against the background of the landscape of his hometown Longtan. In the novel, the mode of getting along between the teacher and the student is his own teaching experience. The song of the same name adapted from the movie "Lu Binghua" is still catchy to many people.

Zhong Zhaozheng has written more than 20 million words, written books, won numerous awards, and set a precedent for Taiwan in dahe novels such as "Turbid Flow Trilogy", "Taiwanese Trilogy", "Alpine Trilogy", and "Nu Tao".

Zhong Zhaozheng has a humorous personality, and before he died, he smoked a few cigarettes and drank some small wine every day. Zhong Zhaozheng's literature is well-known throughout Taiwan, but he once said, "I never felt that I was anything remarkable." Over the years, Zhong Zhaozheng's happiest is that his old friends come to visit, and occasionally he hears that his old friends are gradually withering away, and he is always sad for a long time. The news of Zhong Zhaozheng's death came out, leaving posterity with unlimited remembrance. (Taiwan Network Li Ning)
