In the first 11 months of 2020, the number of independent intellectual property rights filed in Zhejiang increased by nearly 30% year-on-year

Hangzhou, 5 Dec (Xinhua) -- Statistics released by Hangzhou Customs on the 4th show that from January to November this year, 2547 new customs records were added to zhejiang province's intellectual property rights, and the number of independent intellectual property rights filed ranked first in the country, an increase of nearly 30% year-on-year.

"Our company was filed with the customs in 2013, and so far there have been five or six cases of infringement and counterfeiting in Hangzhou, and the filing results have been remarkable." Feng Weidong, the relevant person in charge of Hangzhou Handu Industrial Co., Ltd., said that we have filed the products that the company can file with the customs, and one more record is more than one guarantee.

According to statistics, in the first 11 months of 2020, Hangzhou Customs detained 21 batches and more than 530,000 pieces of goods infringing independent intellectual property rights.

While cracking down on infringement in a targeted manner, Hangzhou Customs has also cultivated the awareness of independent intellectual property rights of enterprises. Xu Mei, head of the intellectual property section of Yiwu Customs under Hangzhou Customs, said that many small and medium-sized private enterprises do not have a strong sense of intellectual property protection, and some enterprises know that their goods have been "copied" and exported, but they do not know how to deal with it, and can only watch their rights and interests damaged.

In order to help these private enterprises find ways to protect their rights, Hangzhou customs officers visited major international trade cities, cross-border industrial parks and other small and micro enterprise gathering areas to understand the current situation of enterprise rights protection, publicize and popularize the customs protection policy of intellectual property rights, guide enterprises to actively file for the record, and include independent intellectual property rights in the scope of active protection by customs.

In Zhejiang, more and more private enterprises are transforming and upgrading to independent innovation, and are committed to building a Chinese manufacturing brand. Xu Mei said that in order to maintain the image of Made in China, it is necessary to do a good job in cultivating independent intellectual property rights. While continuously strengthening the enforcement of intellectual property rights, the Customs will guide more enterprises to include independent intellectual property rights in the scope of active protection by customs, enhance the confidence and vitality of enterprises in creating, protecting and using intellectual property rights, and help Chinese manufacturing go global.
