"I volunteered to join the Communist Party of China, support the party's program, abide by the party's regulations, and fulfill the obligations of party members..." The two white-bearded people still remember the excitement when they raised their right fist to take the oath when they joined the party, and remember the youthful appearance of struggling when they were young. Recalling the story of joining the party again, they invariably said with sonorous force: The original intention has never changed!

"The times are the ones who publish the papers, we are the people who answer the papers, and the people are the people who read the papers." On the road of "catching up with the examination," the Chinese Communists were full of pride and forged ahead. The author interviewed several veteran party members of the Corps and listened to them tell the stories of those "original intentions".

I would like to repay this life to the party

For Liu Yongze, an 85-year-old veteran party member, the most important thing every year is to prepare a "birthday gift" for the party. Since 2001, whenever the "July 1st" founding day comes, Liu Yongze will pay special party fees, and as of now, he has paid more than 20,000 yuan in special party fees.

"Without the Communist Party, there would be no happy life for us, and the proudest thing in my life is that I am a Communist Party member." Liu Yongze said excitedly.

Liu Yongze is a retired worker at the May 1st Farm of the 12th Division, who has suffered a second-degree disability due to a work injury. The life of the old man's family is not rich, but Liu Yongze has never hesitated to pay a special party fee every year.

In 1934, Liu Yongze was born in a mountain village in Macheng, Hubei Province, because of the poverty of his family, from the age of 6, he herded cattle and fed sheep, until after the founding of New China in 1949, Liu Yongze finally got a long-awaited piece of land of his own.

"Becoming a member of the Communist Party of China is the biggest dream of my life." Liu Yongze recalled. In 1957, Liu Yongze was elected as the leader of the production team by the members of the commune. In the same year, he solemnly submitted an application to the party organization to join the party. After more than a year of inspection, Liu Yongze was transformed from an active member of the party to a reserve party member.

"I was so excited I couldn't sleep for days and nights. The original intention of a Communist Party member is to be loyal to the party and work actively in his future work, and he must not fail to live up to the party's entrustment. In my lifetime, I will follow the Communist Party. Recalling that past, Liu Yongze was full of smiles.

In early 1962, Liu Yongze signed up to support the frontier and came to the corps from Hubei. Who knows, due to the long distance, Liu Yongze's party materials were accidentally lost in the mailing process. This can make Liu Yongze anxious, he wrote letters, telegrams, and specially ran to the county town 20 kilometers away to call the original party organization... However, the final result is that the data is lost and cannot be retrieved. Liu Yongze secretly hid and cried.

After Liu Yongze's May 1st Farm Coal Mine Party organization learned about the situation, he encouraged him to pick himself up and re-write the party application.

"With the encouragement of the party organization, I saw hope again. After being trained by the party organization, later, I joined the Communist Party of China. On the day I joined the party, I solemnly swore an oath in front of the party flag. Liu Yongze said excitedly.

For decades, Liu Yongze worked as hard as he could in his post, and even if he was disabled by a work accident, he did not demoralize the communist party member's will.

"Living cannot add a burden to the party organization, and leaving cannot add trouble to the party organization." Liu Yongze said.

In 2002, seeing the donation announcement of the Urumqi Red Cross Society, Liu Yongze signed a body donation agreement with the Urumqi Red Cross Society, and agreed with his children that after his death, he would not want a cemetery and directly scatter his ashes on the hot land of Tuanchang.

"Good days are given by the party, and I always keep the party's kindness in mind." As long as I live one day, I will repay the party's kindness for one day. Liu Yongze said.

Write big love at the foot of the Tianshan Mountains

He worked all his life at the foot of the Tianshan Mountains. Zuo Wensheng, an 87-year-old retired cadre of the 104th Regiment of the 12th Division, often said: "This is what I should do." Because I'm a Communist, I'm a veteran. ”

Zuo Wensheng was born in 1932 in Nanyang, Henan. In 1951, Zuo Wensheng, a second-year senior in high school, passed the conscription examination of the Xinjiang Military Region's Political Cadre School and embarked on the road of joining the army and entering Xinjiang.

"I joined the army in May 1951 and joined the party in October 1956, and successively worked in the 17th Division of the Sixth Army, the 3rd Branch of the 6th Division's Nanshan Ranch (now the 104th Regiment and Pastor's 3rd Field), and worked as a teacher and statistician... I am honored to witness the development of the Corps. Zuo Wensheng, 87 years old, with quick thinking and a loud voice, recalled the situation of joining the party in those years, and his face was full of unstoppable pride.

In 1956, Zuo Wensheng was transferred to the three farms at an altitude of more than 3,000 meters. In the same year, he honorably joined the Communist Party of China.

In the 1950s, the conditions of the three farms were harsh, there was no running water and pastures, everyone ate pickles and steamed bread, drank snow mountain meltwater, and lived in simple felt houses. There have also been people who complained about hardship, but Zuo Wensheng not only did not complain, but also used this place as a big stage to temper himself.

The young and cultured Zuo Wensheng is not only a statistician, administrator, but also a "purchasing agent", he goes out to run errands, every time he will help the herdsmen carry clothes, cloth and other daily necessities, use the ledger to register everyone's "shopping list" in detail, and then deliver the goods one by one after returning.

Once, Zuo Wensheng went to a bank in Hejing County to help the herdsmen withdraw their deposits, and on the way back, he slept in the mountains, and was awakened in the middle of the night by the sound of rocks rolling down and the hissing of horses. Several wolves were preparing to attack him and the horses. Zuo Wensheng desperately shouted and frightened, smashed with stones, and used flashlights to take pictures, fortunately he also brought a gun, and after firing a few shots, the wolves finally fled in a hurry.

Time flies, and Zuo Wensheng, who has now reached his old age, is still idle. After his retirement, he was rehired to the Tuanchang History Office, where he spent 15 years editing and publishing 4 Tuanzhi in succession. Zuo Wensheng also volunteered to run to the post of the Committee on Aging of the Regiment, set up a dance team and a choir, organized the elderly to participate in cultural and entertainment competitions, and led the elderly in the troupe to live out the excitement of their old age.

"As a Communist Party member, as long as you can do what you want, you must do practical and good things for the masses of the people. The original intention does not change, always struggle! Zuo Wensheng said.

Single-mindedly follow the party

When it comes to joining the party in 1956, Wang Peilan, an 83-year-old veteran party member, can't close the box.

"When I joined the party, I just turned 20 years old, and I can confidently say that I am active, responsible, and able to endure hardships, which my colleagues are all convinced!" To become a Communist Party member, these are all qualities that must be possessed. The cheerful laughter of the old man Wang Peilan revealed endless pride and firmness.

Wang Peilan was born in Rongcheng, Shandong in 1936 to a peasant family, and in 1954, after graduating from the Shandong Provincial Public Security Cadre School, she enlisted in Xinjiang.

After entering Xinjiang, Wang Peilan, who was both educated and good at accounting, was assigned to work in the military service agency, and the young she also had a skill that her comrades did not have: two hands at the same time.

During her time as a saleswoman at the Military Service Agency, there were several things that made Wang Peilan proud, because the accounting was fast and good, she had been interviewed by the Xinjiang Daily in 1955, and what she was most proud of was that in 1956, at the age of 20, she gloriously joined the Chinese Communist Party.

"At that time, there was a shortage of materials, the needs of people shopping were different, colleagues could not come even if they were in a hurry, and when they were busy, they relied on me alone, and often did not have time to go to the toilet for half a day." Wang Peilan said with a smile.

In the past few decades of work, Wang Peilan has been transferred to bayi shopping mall, Baihua Village and other units to work until 1990 from the Corps Grain and Oil Bargaining Company retirement. Recalling the place where she worked, Wang Peilan felt most deeply that she had worked in Baihua Village, a unit where she had worked for nearly 30 years, where there was the sound of her "crackling" abacus beads, the laughter and pride of working day and night, and the 30 years she had grown up as a Communist Party member.

"My wife used to be my colleague and my lifelong comrade-in-arms. She has strict requirements for work and life, and she will do her best. Wang Peilan's old partner Yang Zhenxi said with a smile. Whether it is as a salesman of the service agency, the deputy director of the store department, or the director of the Baihuacun Restaurant... The spicy and capable Wang Peilan has done his best and performed well in his post.

"From the day I became a Communist Party member at the age of 20, I made up my mind that I would be worthy of the glorious status of a Communist Party member for the rest of my life! Never forget your original intention, listen to the party wholeheartedly, follow the party, and at all times keep in mind your responsibility as a communist party member, and there must be no slackness. Wang Peilan said.
