During World War II, more than 500 brothels were established in Germany.
Most were opened in hotels and confiscated synagogues.
It is estimated that at least 34,140 European women were forced to work as prostitutes during the Third Reich.
Prostitutes in Germany were military personnel.

What salary, insurance, vacations, pensions... All of them.
If the Third Reich had existed for another 30 years, prostitutes would have been able to pay pensions as veterans.

Prostitutes in German brothels are mainly divided into the following categories:
Patriotic, volunteered to work in brothels. This was considered an honorable job, and they sincerely believed that they were contributing to the victory of the Third Reich.
Recruitment of professional prostitutes from Germany and the occupied territories.
Convicted German woman. Choose to work in brothels and also go to labor camps.
Female prisoners of war (mainly Soviet)
Forced labor of the local population (mostly in the east). This type of woman has a proper noun called "Offizierdecke"—presumably meaning an officer's mattress.

The most famous Nazi brothel was called Salon Kitty.
Located in the wealthy district of Berlin (Giesebrecht Strasse 11).
Salon Kitty is a high-end brothel that hosts high-ranking military officers or visiting diplomats.

In 1939, SS General Reinhardt Heydrich took over TheOn Kitty and engaged in espionage.
Simple and effective, it seduced high-ranking German officials and foreign visitors and diplomats with wine and women, and extracted political secrets, Nazi-related information, and whether a person was loyal.
In 1942, Salon Kitty was blown up in a British air raid.

In the USSR
In the Soviet Union at that time, prostitution was prohibited (free can be, selling is a crime).
So in 1941, the Germans brought brothels from Western Europe to the Soviet Union.
In the early days, German soldiers were forbidden to have sexual contact with non-German women. For that would have destroyed the purity of the German race.
But by the beginning of 1942, the policy had changed.
Because of the condoms.
A large proportion of packages shipped from Germany to the Eastern Front are condoms.

German brothels began to recruit women workers from all ethnic groups, especially Jewish, Gypsies, Latvians, Lithuanians, Ukrainians, Belarusians and Russian women.
A mobile brothel made up of several trailers
Antonina Demchina, a World War II veteran, recalls:
I have seen the kind of mobile brothels made up of several trailers, full of female police officers. Most of the girls were between the ages of 13 and 19, and although they were of different nationalities, they were all beautiful. Elegantly dressed, with beautiful accessories and beautiful makeup... Doctors, nurses and makeup artists are standard in mobile brothels.
One hour at a time. After receiving hygiene items (1 bar of soap, 1 bar of soap, towel and 3 condoms), soldiers had to take a bath twice before they could touch them. Except for 15 minutes of sex, the rest of the time, the prostitute will let the customer buy coupons, 2 to 3 marks per coupon.
Bartering was popular in the Nazi army at the time, and these coupons could be exchanged for items such as jam, gin and cigarettes.
German soldiers needed a permit to enter the brothels in the field, which showed that they had entered the brothels several times this month. More than 6 times will not work, and not once.
In addition to official brothels, there were many unofficial brothels in the German-occupied areas.
Usually it's some poor single woman who runs business in their own home in order to make money.
In some German dining places, there are also so-called meeting rooms, which are used to facilitate the waitresses to provide additional sexual services.
Whether in brothels, restaurants ... Contraceptives are readily available.
And many women who "work" in such places are not forced, but hungry.
Girls receive up to dozens of girls a day.
A testimony from German artilleryman Wilhelm Lippich:
"In our regiment, some soldiers I know, they take a piece of bread, go a few kilometers away, give only a few slices of bread, and they can be satisfied.
For sexual services, girls usually don't want money. A loaf of bread is more real than a rapidly depreciating ruble. ”
In the Soviet Union, brothel recruitment methods were varied.
Many of these were also non-Germans who were pimping for the Nazis.

Grigory Balitsky, in his memoir Night War, recounts the experience of Poltava guerrillas fleeing brothels and joining a Belarusian guerrilla organization.
At Poltava Station, germans lined up girls, selected 28 tall, beautiful girls, and took a train to Belarus.
"We stopped in Chernihiv and after a round of doctor checks, five were brushed off because they were virgins. After arriving at Gomel, we were placed in a dormitory, wearing white tops and black skirts, and had German hairstyles, and they told us that it was a privilege to be a prostitute in a brothel. ”
But as the fighting progressed, the demand for prostitutes grew and resources became scarcer.
In particular, in 1941, after civilians evacuated the city, recruiting new prostitutes became a major problem.
Thus appeared the scene recorded by Soviet Foreign Minister Molotov in an interim war report:
Germany opened an officers' brothel in the city of Smolensk, and hundreds of women and girls were ruthlessly dragged into the streets with their arms and hair grabbed. Crazy fascists everywhere break into houses, rape women and girls in front of children, laugh, insult and then brutally kill them.
In the village of Borodaevka in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, fascists raped every woman and girl.
In the village of Berezovskka in the Smolensk region, drunken German soldiers attacked and took away all women and girls between the ages of 16 and 30. ”

There were also brothels in the camps.
In June 1941, Heinrich Himmler ordered the opening of brothels in the Mauthausen concentration camp to serve the SS.
Hundreds of girls (mostly Poles and Russians, after March 1942, Jewish women were no longer allowed to work in brothels) were inscribed with the words "soldiers of Hitler's army".
Rape was widespread in concentration camps (Hitler acquiesced).
Female prisoners are mainly victims.
This was demonstrated in documents submitted at the Nuremberg trials in 1946.
Margaret V., a 25-year-old female prisoner at The Ravensbrück concentration camp, recounted her first arrival at the camp's brothel:
We were forced to strip naked and line up to wait for inspection.
Commander Koch replied, "We'll feed them robust before we go to work." ”
Margaret V and 16 other selected girls were then transferred to buchenwald.
There were 20,000 male prisoners, and their places of business were fenced off with barbed wire...

In Poland/France
In September 1939, 1.5 million Germans invaded Poland.
In the first few weeks of the occupation, condoms (open for business) covered all the green areas of Krakow's Planty Square.
Because most of the soldiers left Germany for the first time, and everything was so novel about this exotic atmosphere.
But for SS chief Himmler, it was a resounding slap in the face.
In 1943, almost all SS leaders had a stable married life with Polish women.
This relationship was called Ostehe (Marriage of the Orient) by the SS Security Ministry (Reichssicherheitshauptamt).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Polish Government-in-Exile issued a document on 3 May 1941 that reads:
At that time, the Germans carried out a large-scale kidnapping attack in Poland, aimed at capturing young Polish women.
Hitler allowed rape in the occupied territories.
Encouraged, amorous, and Nazi soldiers became better fighters and killers.
2 German soldiers told 2 short stories:
Wallus: "Our troops had to wait in line in front of the door. Each woman receives 14 to 15 men per hour. Every three to five, you have to change a new batch of women. ”
Nivem: "When I was in Paris, I saw our soldiers in the bar, grabbed the girl, and threw it on the table... The same goes for married women! ”

Post-war punishment

After the Germans retreated, about 20,000 such French women were accused of cooperating with the Nazis.
They were shaved, stripped naked and dragged to the streets.
In Poland.
When the Polish soldiers return home, they find that their girlfriend/wife is living happily ever after with the German soldiers.
Girls are retaliated against, punished or killed.
There are many such stories in Poland.
This kind of post-war punishment was not only done in France and Poland, but also in many European countries at that time.
Atrocities when Nazi Germany was defeated and Sicily was freed.
Marina was pulled out of the brothel by the dentist's wife and other ugly women: first dragging her down the steps, kicking her, cutting her clothes with scissors, cutting her yin and yang head with a knife, leaving her without a trace of dignity.
The so-called gentlemen in the crowd were silent, watching this farce between women, the farce of the times.
The atrocity was over, and Marina dragged her scaly body, her mutilated clothes and the last bit of dignity that was trampled under the feet of the crowd, and she howled at the sky, her eyes full of fear...

Soldier's child

A Norwegian girl named Harriet von Nickel once wrote an autobiography.
In Norway, as a post-war punishment, the mother was labeled and sent to a Norwegian concentration camp as a slave.
She said:
"I live with foster parents, and at the age of two I was chained to the yard like a dog..."
"When I was six years old, I was thrown into the river by the villagers and said they wanted to see if the witch (referring to me) would drown?"
"When I was ten, a drunken villager attacked me and carved a "ten" mark on my forehead. Later I wiped it off with sandpaper..."
Of course, such children are not only found in Norway, but also in every country that has experienced them.
According to relevant historians:
Between 1941 and 1944, about 50,000 to 100,000 children were born in Russia, the Baltic States, Belarus, and Ukraine.
During the occupation of Norway, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands and France, 200,000 children were born.
The lives of these thousands of children are also doomed to tragedy from the moment they are born.

The Soviet Union also had counter-killing times.
An oral account from a Russian veteran of World War II:
When I entered Romania, I learned that there was a fee for sexual services in Romania, which surprised the Soviet soldiers! (We're all free)
German women were offered free sexual entertainment, but Many Soviet soldiers later found out they suffered from colds and syphilis.
After Germany was defeated, Russian soldiers often smuggled German "girlfriends" in school bags, furniture, or suitcases.
Soviet veterans said that the most beautiful women in Europe were Polish women, the proudest were female partisans in Yugoslavia, and the weakest were Bulgarian women.
