author:Pure mysticism

According to legend, Cao Guo's uncle was the son of Cao Bin, the younger brother of Empress Cao Zengniang, who was very beautiful in appearance, with black and red hair and quick movements, but his personality was peaceful, his talent was pure, he did not covet wealth and nobility, but he especially loved to live a clean life. By the age of twelve or thirteen, he had mastered the Book of the Three Teachings of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. Because he was the uncle of the country, he was born in the court since he was a child, the harem concubines all liked him very much, every time the emperor spoke to him, when there was a content involving the governing strategy, he always replied with "quiet and natural, doing nothing to govern the government", the emperor was very fond of it, once gave him a yellow robe and a red belt, he just prostrated his head in thanks, and did not think he was proud.

One day, Uncle Cao Guo resigned to the emperor and the empress, and when the emperor asked him where he was going, he replied, "The cultivators march in the ten directions of heaven and earth and the four seas according to their wishes." The emperor and the empress stopped him many times, and seeing that it was really difficult to stay, they gave him kurama and his servants, and he did not accept them, and the emperor gave him a gold medal with the words engraved on it: "Uncle of the country is everywhere, as if he were a relative." After three or five days, Uncle Cao Guo was gone, and people did not know where he had gone. In fact, when Uncle Cao Guo left, he only took a hedge, which was used to make money to people to live. When he came to the Yellow River and wanted to cross the river by boat, Gong Zi asked him for money to cross the river, and he said, "I am a Taoist, I have no money." Gong Zi scolded him for being a scoundrel and pushed him off the boat, Uncle Cao Guo was in a hurry, so he took out the gold medal given to him by the emperor from his clothes and handed it to Zi Gong as a ferry money, and the people on the boat saw the words on the gold medal and were busy kneeling down and shouting,"Long live!" Gong Gong was frightened and panicked, and then a ragged Taoist priest sat in the boat and shouted, "Since you are a monk, why do you still rely on your power to scare people?" After hearing this, Uncle Cao Guo bowed down and said, "How dare a disciple bully others?" The Daoist priest asked, "Can you throw that gold medal into the water?" Uncle Cao Guo did not hesitate to throw the gold medal into the depths of the rapids with a wave of his hand.

Everyone was very surprised to see him and prayed to him. The Taoist priest called Uncle Cao Guo ashore and said to him, "Are you willing to follow me?" Uncle Cao Guo said yes, so he walked several miles with this Taoist monk, and the two of them sat down under a large tree to rest, and the Daoist priest asked, "Do you know Lü Dongbin?" Uncle Cao Guo said, "The disciple is a muddy person, how can he know the immortals?" The Daoist priest sighed and said, "I am Lü Dongbin, and I have come to temper you today." Uncle Cao Guo hurried down to worship. Then the two of them left together. Later, Lü Zu taught Cao Guo uncle the theory and recipe of cultivation, so that Cao Guo uncle could cultivate into a god.
