At the opening ceremony, Li Yan introduced the stories behind more than 60 exhibited works to the audience one by one. According to reports, the photographic works exhibited at the Shaanxi Grand Theater this time span from the 1980s to 2017, and the exhibition time will last until May 6.

In the following lecture, Li Yan prepared more than a hundred behind-the-scenes photos for the audience of the ancient city, most of which were newly scanned for the Xi'an exhibition. After three hours of continuous narration, no one left the table.

Li Yan said that he and Xi'an are very close and will come almost every few months. This time when he came to Xi'an to hold an exhibition, he specially selected the drama photos of Shaanxi actors and Shaanxi directors, and also selected the stills of some of the plays participated in the 7th Xi'an Theater Festival. For his own creative process, Li Yan said, "I took a very satisfactory still, and later when the play was staged again, the same position, the plot and the actors, but I could no longer shoot that feeling. The stage charm is not replicable, and I hope to condense those moments. ”

It is understood that in 2016, Li Yan published "When the Drama Has Become a Thing of the Past", which records the story of the drama circle he personally experienced from 1982 to 2006, with more than 300,000 words and nearly 500 pictures, which is the first of its kind in China.
