According to the latest reference to the "Catalogue of Graded Management of Medical Beauty Projects" issued by the former Ministry of Health and other relevant documents, after the study and decision of the President's Office of the Sino-US Association on August 25, the Dental Aesthetic Professional Committee will be abolished from now on."
In fact, this is not the first dental professional committee to be abolished. As early as 2019, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Beauty and Cosmetics Industry Chamber of Commerce set up a professional committee for aesthetic teeth. Most of them are stomatological hospitals carrying out related business, but there are also beauty salons involved in the dental business, and even eyebrow tattoo studios sell a single 68 yuan "German nano ice porcelain patch" experience coupon online, and nail and eyelash shops sell 6800 yuan "ice porcelain teeth whitening" package.
In the recent debate about dental beauty, some people think that some teeth beauty belongs to life beauty, and some people think that all teeth beauty belongs to medical beauty. So what is the difference between life beauty and medical beauty?
Deng Yong, an associate researcher at the National Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine Development and Strategy of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, told reporters that according to the "Catalogue of Graded Management of Medical Beauty Projects", medical beauty refers to the use of surgery, drugs, medical devices and other traumatic or invasive medical technology methods to repair and reshape the appearance of people and the shape of various parts of the human body.
According to the "Interim Measures for the Administration of Beauty Salon Industry", beauty (that is, life beauty) refers to the use of manual technology, equipment and equipment and with the help of makeup, beauty and skin care products to provide consumers with non-invasive skin cleaning, skin maintenance, makeup modification and other services on the human surface.
According to this, there are two main points in the difference between medical beauty and life beauty: First, specific means, including whether to use surgery, drugs, etc. The second is the nature of behavior, which is mainly reflected in whether it is traumatic and invasive.
Professor Wang Yue of the School of Medical Humanities of Peking University believes that in general, the definition of life beauty and medical beauty is to see its invasiveness, that is, harm, and whether it affects the function of tissues and organs. It should be noted that beautiful teeth actually have a certain invasive possibility, such as damage to tooth enamel, at the same time, if the teeth are not handled properly, it will affect people's chewing function and tooth function, so beautiful teeth should not belong to the category of life beauty.

Establishment and abolition of professional committees

It can be seen that the dental professional committee was approved at the beginning of its establishment.
So, what procedures are required for the association to set up a special committee? Deng Yong said: According to the "Regulations on the Registration and Administration of Social Groups," an application for the establishment of an association should be examined and approved by its professional supervisory unit and registered. Groups established within the Association with the approval of the unit and operating within the unit do not fall within the scope of registration provided for in the Regulations on the Registration and Administration of Social Groups.
Deng Yong added that from a doctrinal point of view, the association has a certain degree of autonomy. Accordingly, the establishment of a special committee of the association may need to go through the approval procedure within the unit, but it does not need to be approved by the business supervisory unit of the association. Of course, in practice, it is also necessary to make specific judgments based on the main business carried out by the association and the policies of relevant administrative departments.
Zhu Wei also believes that there are no clear provisions in the law on the establishment of the special committee, and the association can decide on its own. Any association has its own charter, and may exercise the relevant authority in accordance with the provisions of the charter to set up the corresponding professional committee.
"Strictly speaking, the establishment of a special committee of the association must be filed with the civil affairs department. It is very important for associations to do a good job, and they should not be guided by economic interests and set up special committees that do not belong to their own associations.
