Despite completing the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine and using the best medical resources in the United States, former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell contracted COVID-19 and died of complications at the age of 84.
According to a number of U.S. media comprehensive reports quoted by the Global Network, on October 18, local time, Powell's family posted on social media that Powell died of complications of the new crown pneumonia. The White House, which learned of Powell's death, decided to mourn Powell by lowering flags to half-mast in the United States.
George W. Bush took the lead in posting on social media that he and his wife, Laura, were deeply saddened by Powell's death. Powell was a servant of the people and was highly respected at home and abroad. Jimmy Carter wrote in the newspaper that he and his wife Rosalyn were mourning Powell. Powell was a true patriot. Powell's courage and integrity will be remembered by all and will continue to inspire our children. As if in response to what George W. Bush said, former British Prime Minister Blair also issued a statement saying that Powell was very talented and that he was admirable for his lifelong dedication to the United States. She and her wife, Alma, were deeply saddened by the news.
Speaking of Powell, the most famous is the "washing powder incident". On February 5, 2003, in order to enable the United States to start the Iraq War in a fair and just manner, Powell held a test tube containing white powder in his hand at the United Nations General Assembly and spread rumors that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Afterwards, Putin boldly speculated: the test tube was not loaded with laundry detergent.
It turns out that until 2011, when the United States withdrew its troops from Afghanistan, it did not find these so-called weapons of mass destruction. What is more interesting is that Trump, who is also a Republican, also angrily denounced Powell as the mastermind of the Iraq war during his presidency, that there are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and that it was Powell who dragged the United States into the abyss of war.
In addition, Powell is well-known in the US military and political circles, and he has set several firsts. In 1987 he became the first black man in U.S. history to serve as national security adviser; in 1990 he became the first African-American service member to serve as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; and in 2001 he became the first black secretary of state in U.S. history. Even after he left office, he became one of the most popular candidates for the president of the United States.
The new crown virus is the fairest, no matter how high or low the status, as long as you do not pay attention to protection, you may be infected with new crown pneumonia, and there are many Americans like Powell who have died. At present, the number of deaths due to the new crown epidemic in the United States has exceeded 720,000, all of which are the consequences of the negative response of the US government to the epidemic.
In fact, as early as the early days of the outbreak, the Trump administration had enough time to take measures to prevent and control the epidemic, but these politicians maliciously denigrated China for political interests, and even said that the new crown pneumonia was just a large flu, missing the best time for epidemic prevention. Although the Biden administration took office and demanded that the people be vaccinated against the new crown as soon as possible and restore the economy, they were blocked by Republicans. Because of the regulations, it is not possible to return to work without the new crown vaccine, which has led to another strike boom in the United States.
All this chaos is inseparable from US hegemonism, and in order to maintain hegemony, US politicians have abandoned justice and humanity. How ironic is it that Powell slandered Iraq for having weapons of mass destruction and took the lives of countless Iraqis, while Trump lied that the new crown was not dangerous and took Powell's life.

As of now, the three main culprits of the Iraq war, only George W. Bush is still alive in the world. The death of Powell, a staunch defender of U.S. global hegemony, marks the beginning of the gradual decline of the United States, and also means that U.S. hegemony will decline in the future.
