On May 16, 2019, the Intermediate People's Court of Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, held a public trial of the bribery case of Wang Erzhi, former vice chairman of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

The indictment charges show that from November 2001 to February 2018, Wang Erzhi took advantage of his position as director of the Jilin Provincial Organ Affairs Administration Bureau and deputy secretary general of the Jilin Provincial People's Government, secretary general of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, vice chairman of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and other convenient conditions of his position or the convenience of his position or position to provide assistance to relevant units and individuals in matters such as project construction, land transfer, and return of urban infrastructure supporting fees, and illegally accepted property given by the above-mentioned units and individuals through others. The total amount is equivalent to more than 50.72 million yuan.

There are two important points, the political knowledge circle (WeChat ID: wepolitic) to remind everyone to pay attention.

First, accept bribes.

Wang Erzhi was born in August 1954, a native of Yitong, Jilin Province. Whether it was during his previous term of office or when he was informed of the fall, the official did not give Wang Erzhi's complete resume. It can be confirmed that before that, he had served as deputy secretary-general of the Jilin Provincial Government and director of the Jilin Provincial Organs Affairs Administration Bureau.

These two positions were the beginning of his bribery, when he was 47 years old.

In particular, it should be said that Wang Erzhi's third position where he accepted bribes was the vice chairman of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. On February 3, 2012, the Fifth Session of the 10th CPPCC National Committee of Jilin Province concluded in Changchun, and the conference elected two vice chairmen of the CPPCC, one of whom was Wang Erzhi.

What is more special is that his promotion to the vice-provincial level was during Sun Zhengcai's tenure.

When Sun Zhengcai was elected vice chairman of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference from November 2009 to November 2012, sitting on the rostrum of the provincial CPPCC meeting included Sun Zhengcai, then secretary of the Jilin Provincial Party Committee and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress.

Second, the time to accept bribes.

The allegations show that Wang Erzhi accepted bribes until February 2018. Push forward a month, the Jilin Provincial CPPCC committee changed, and Wang Erzhi, who will turn 64, will retire at an age.

On August 25, 2018, Wang Erzhi was subjected to disciplinary review and supervision and investigation by the State Supervision Commission of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection for suspected serious violations of discipline and law, becoming the "first tiger of Jilin" after the 19th National Congress.

Nearly five months after his fall, in January this year, Wang Erzhi was "double-opened".

The circular shows that Wang Erzhi and his relatives formed a community of interests, sought benefits for their relatives' business activities, used his power and influence from his position for a long time to take charge of projects and projects for private enterprises, used so-called equity transfers, business commissions, and other "legal forms" to cover up the essence of power and money transactions, and wantonly collected money and amassed wealth through his relatives; he was disloyal and dishonest to the party; he also resisted organizational censorship in order to cover up his own violations of discipline and law, and did not truthfully explain the problems when organizing talks.

On the evening of the release of the "double opening" circular, the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the State Supervision Commission also broadcast a live video of the expulsion of Wang Erzhi, former vice chairman of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, from his party membership and public office.

"I have abused my power to serve myself, my family, and my family, and I have lost my party spirit and principles."

At the scene of the announcement, Wang Erzhi said that he completely obeyed the organization's decision to punish himself, and he was completely self-inflicted and deserved today. They are willing to take themselves as negative teaching materials and warn the vast number of party members and leading cadres to manage their children and families well, and not to serve the interests of the family.

The political knowledge circle (WeChat ID: wepolitic) has one more knowledge point to add.

Including Wang Erzhi, after the 19th National Congress, so far 5 former vice chairmen of the Provincial CppcC Committee have been investigated.

On September 18, 2018, Jin Suidong, former vice chairman of the Henan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, fell from power;

On September 15, 2018, Li Shixiang, former vice chairman of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, stepped down;

On August 25, 2018, Wang Erzhi, former vice chairman of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, stepped down;

On July 31, 2018, Ai Wenli, former vice chairman of the Hebei Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, surrendered himself, becoming the first person to surrender himself after the 19th National Congress.

On February 12, 2018, Liu Jun, a former member of the CPPCC group and vice chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, was filed for review for serious disciplinary violations. Liu Jun was expelled from the party, administratively dismissed, and demoted to a non-leading position at the deputy department level.
