Recently, the general trend of migratory elephant herds has continued to move in a due southerly direction. From August 2 to August 4, the elephant herd continued to maneuver through the woodland southeast of the Gebochong Villagers Group in Qinglongchang Community, Yuanjiang County, Yuxi City. As the elephant herd continues to move in the dense forest, the monitoring team uses two drones to alternate flights to ensure the monitoring effect.
At 13:30 on August 5, during the transition process, the elephant herds foraging in the fields suddenly entered the dense forest, and the monitoring detachment took the form of open-ground coordination to search for the target group, and at 15:31 on the same day, the location of the elephant herd was locked.
At 19:00 on August 6, the elephant herd continued to move in the woodland 670 meters north of Xiaoganba Village in Yuanjiang County, Yuxi City, Yunnan Province. The Yunnan Provincial Forest Fire Brigade continued to monitor the safety of the elephants. The coolness of autumn is expected to eventually cause the herds to speed up their homes.
