According to the official website of the Shijingshan District Government of Beijing Municipality, recently, the leaders of the district visited the Aftercare Office of the Beijing Military Region and held a discussion. Bai Jianjun, director of the Aftercare Office of the Beijing Military Region; Liu Jian, political commissar; Yuan Liangbin and Li Yi, deputy directors; Miao Aimin, deputy political commissar; and district leaders Yu Changhui, Wen Wen, Yao Maowen, Zhang Guofu, and Chen Tingting attended the forum.

The above-mentioned official media sources confirm that Lieutenant General Liu Jian, who was formerly deputy political commissar of the Northern Theater and director of the Political Work Department, has been transferred to the post of political commissar of the Beijing Military Region's Aftermath Office.

According to public information, Liu Jian was the director of the political department of the former 27th Group Army of the Beijing Military Region, and in 2010, he succeeded Gao Donglu as the political commissar of the former 65th Group Army, ranking among the generals of the regular army. In 2015, Liu Jian crossed the service and was promoted to political commissar of the former Beijing Military Region's Air Force. After the launch of this round of military reform, Liu Jian served as deputy political commissar and director of the political work department of the Northern Theater.

Liu Jian's appointment as political commissar of the aftermath office of the new Beijing Military Region means that Lieutenant General Cheng Tongyi has stepped down from this post.

Born in June 1954, Cheng Tongyi served as the political commissar of the Zhejiang Provincial Military Region, the political commissar of a group army of the former Beijing Military Region, and the former deputy political commissar of the Beijing Military Region, and was promoted to lieutenant general in 2012. After the establishment of the Beijing Military Region's Aftermath Office, Cheng Tongyi served as political commissar.
