Beijing, 27 Sep (Xinhua) -- Wang Yang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, met with Ban Bang, chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Conference, by video link in Beijing on 27 September.
Wang Yang said that since last year, President Xi Jinping and President JokoWisen have made four phone calls, which has made a top-level design for strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Indonesia in the new era. China is willing to work with Indonesia to continuously enhance political mutual trust, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, continue to promote the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, strengthen anti-epidemic cooperation, and make greater contributions to regional peace, stability and development in accordance with the important consensus reached by the two heads of state. The Chinese National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference is willing to maintain communication and exchanges at all levels with the Indonesian People's Consultative Conference and promote new progress in bilateral relations.
Ban Bang said that thanks to China's support for Indonesia's fight against the epidemic, the Indonesian People's Consultative Conference is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and promote mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in various fields to achieve greater results.
