Mazati said: "My choice is based on what I saw in Switzerland, a group that allows me to find more solutions depending on the opponent of the competition. The 14 athletes selected have given me a lot of variations and have the right pairing for different situations. Recently, some player physical problems have forced us to be very careful when managing the team, so I can't always count on the whole team. But I believe we can achieve very good results. It's a young team that can change the course of the game. ”
Later this week, Italy will play three friendly matches against the Netherlands on September 14 and 15 in Costa Volpino and on September 16 in Bergamo, which is also one of the medal contenders at the 2018 Women's Volleyball World Championships in Japan.
"This will be another useful opportunity to find the rhythm of the World Championships." Mazzati said: "Looking at previous games, we have seen the importance of the team. I don't just talk about the results, I pay the most attention to the way I play. We weren't upset about the negative performance of the Gloria Cup, just as we wouldn't be proud of Montreux's victory.
