According to research, it is a love minor key that was popular in Suzhou from the 30s to the 40s of the last century, and was later absorbed and adopted by Shanghai opera.

This is the most traditional version of the classic, the melody is simple and beautiful, and the thick Jiangnan Wuyue style. Rhythm rhymes according to 7+7+5+5 filler words, which is catchy. This is Xie Caiyu's version of the score, there is no music on the Internet, it is a score that I wrote down after listening to it several times, for your reference. This version is very interesting, the first half is the traditional classic version, and the second half is the Shanghai opera version. Xie Caiyun's voice is sweet, almost the same as Teresa Teng, and ordinary people can't tell it.
