In Andingmenwai Street, Luan tree and Begonia are used as the main landscape trees to achieve shade coverage of the roadway while taking into account the landscape effect of spring, autumn and winter. In Hepingli West Street, the central branch belt uses the Chinese acacia as a shade tree, which coincides with the thick and atmospheric style of the Temple of Earth; The section from the Lama Temple Bridge to the South Gate of the Temple of Earth is designed to use the existing traffic railings to plant vines in this month, increase the façade landscape of the road, and combine with the outer garden of the Temple of Earth to form a boulevard for watching spring flowers, enjoying summer shade, appreciating autumn colors, and tasting winter charm.

On the basis of improving the construction of the boulevard road network and improving the experience of the road system, Dongcheng District is integrated into the construction of urban galleries, and the West Flower Market Street, South Flower Market Street, North Flower Market Street, Qiansanmen Street (East City Section) and Andingmen East and West Street are the key construction sections, with a total length of 4.96 kilometers and a total area of 7,750 square meters.

This year, Dongcheng District has completed a total of 11 overpass three-dimensional greening upgrades, combined with the greening effect of the pilot bridge area in 2023, the use of finished container flower box placement, finished planting container (bridge railing hanging flower box), ground planting vertical greening, bridge area green space replanting and bridge column three-dimensional greening and other greening forms, enrich the bridge area green landscape level.

The Northeast Chengjiao Liaison Line Bridge adopts the vertical greening method, and the shade-tolerant climbing plants are replanted in the places with poor light conditions under the bridge pillars, and the ground brocade is planted in the places with good light conditions, so as to quickly form a greening effect. At the same time, give full play to the role of the Northeast Chengjiao Liaison Line Bridge as the city's welcome bridge, improve the "color viewing rate" and "green viewing rate" overlooking the park from the viaduct, and embellish the "moon and season necklace" of the second ring.

The main road of the second ring road of Guangqumen Bridge was once rated as the most beautiful flower road in Beijing by the citizens. During the construction of the green overpass, the District Landscaping Bureau applied 1,050 meters of vines and roses on the side façade of the bridge to create a flower landscape avenue and retain the "most beautiful flower road in Beijing".

According to statistics, from 2018 to 2023, Dongcheng District has completed the improvement of the tree-lined landscape of 15 streets, and on the basis of improving the construction of the boulevard road network and improving the experience of the road system, it will integrate the greening construction of urban galleries and overpasses, and organically integrate the garden form with the urban space in combination with the characteristics of different areas, so as to provide a continuous, comfortable, beautiful and convenient urban road network system for all kinds of people with different travel needs such as walking, cycling, and car traveling, and forming a city road network system close to the daily activities of citizens.
