<h1>Faith, flying high on the top of Taihang Mountain</h1>

Like the Great Plains, the Taihang Mountains have not lacked faith since ancient times. As the Indian writer Rabindranath Tagore said: Faith is a bird that feels the light and sings when the dawn is still dark.
The faith of the Taihang Mountains
What is faith? Faith refers to the belief in a certain thing, spirit, religion or someone as a norm or example of one's own behavior. The Russian writer Leo Tolstoy said: Faith is the driving force of life.
When people have faith, they will feel that they are living a solid life and have a head. So I am not at all surprised that there are so many people who like to burn incense, prostrate their heads, and worship bodhisattvas, and that may be the bottom line of people in this world.
When encountering something bad, no one can tell, go to the temple to burn a paper money, silently pray in your heart, and then kneel down and prostrate, get up and beat the soil on your knees, there is a smile on your face, your heart is stable, your waist is straight, and the road in front of you feels much flatter.
I often go to the Taihang Mountains to collect wind, and I have seen many temples on the Taihang Mountains, but I have not photographed many, one is out of awe, I dare not shoot, and the other is that it is difficult to touch a suitable light and shadow. Simply photographing it doesn't seem to make any sense. Moreover, there is a lack of more understanding and understanding of the temple on the mountain, let alone research.
Most of the temples in the mountains are mountain temples. Three or four slates, in a corner of a certain hillside, occupy a very small area. I had seen the small temples built on stone pillars on four cliffs in Qiugou, and I couldn't imagine how they had been built. That is, three small stone slabs, standing for many years, quite magical.
Like in Mawuzhai, there is a big temple, which is the Guandi Temple, which is located in the middle of this village, built by the mountain, which feels very spectacular.
You would never have thought that there is another kind of temple on the Taihang Mountain, called the Temple of Gambling. As we can see from the name, this temple is aimed at people's gambling vices. Presumably, there was a time when the people of the Taihang Mountains became obsessed with gambling, and then people looked forward to the intervention of the gods in order to put an end to this vice.
Now I see that many Taihang Mountain people have stopped gambling, they go to the cliff every day to dig cliff cypress, make bonsai, a weathered cliff cypress can sell tens of thousands of dollars without moving, the big guys are busy crazy...
There is also a kind of temple that is the Erxian Temple, which was also mentioned above. There are large and small, and there are footprints in various mountains and villages in the Taihang Mountains. There is one in the southeast direction of Mawuzhai, and the Taihang No. 1 Highway, which is now under construction, winds through its west side.
Legend has it that the "Second Immortal" was a Jin Dynasty person, who was very concerned about the local people's living conditions, and almost responded to every request, and the people were also grateful to Dade, so they built temples and erected statues everywhere to worship.
On the Taihang Mountain, I have seen many Erxian Temples, and when I get to the bottom of the mountain, there must be every mountain, and every village must be there, and they are all built in the highest place in the local area, which shows the respect and love of people in Shanxi folklore.
Like the Great Plains, the Taihang Mountains have not lacked faith since ancient times. As the Indian writer Rabindranath Tagore said: Faith is a bird that feels the light and sings when the dawn is still dark. I think the poet's interpretation of faith is so appropriate!
