On October 12, the Autumn Sports Meeting of Dongjiang Foreign Chinese School Affiliated to Tianjin University of Foreign Chinese (hereinafter referred to as Dongjiang Xiaowai) opened. At the opening ceremony, Liu Qingliang, member of the Standing Committee of the Dongjiang Party Committee and deputy director of the Management Committee, announced that Dongjiang Primary School was successfully approved for the nine-year consistent school qualification this year. It marks that the education industry in Dongjiang has entered a new journey, created favorable conditions for the integrated development of Hong Kong, industry and city, and further stimulated the "vitality of the city".
Next year (2025), Dongjiang Primary School will usher in the first batch of primary school graduates, in order to ensure that Dongjiang students go directly to junior high school, Dongjiang Management Committee actively promotes the transformation of Dongjiang Primary School Junior High School, and makes efforts in the same direction and synchronous planning from various aspects such as school qualification application and infrastructure renovation design, and successfully obtained the nine-year consistent school running qualification.
Next, Dongjiang will accelerate the campus renovation project to ensure that sixth-grade graduates will be successfully promoted to the first grade of junior high school next fall, and realize the relay of compulsory education primary and junior high schools.
As the first education and livelihood project in Dongjiang, Dongjiang Xiaowai opened in the fall of 2020, and in the past four years, based on the school-running philosophy of Tianjin Foreign Language University of Chinese Language and Culture "Integrating Chinese and Western Cultures and Educating International Talents", focusing on the development goal of "helping the economic and social development of Dongjiang and providing high-quality education supporting services", focusing on cultivating students' core literacy, focusing on improving the quality of teachers, gathering energy to create characteristic education courses, and striving to cultivate outstanding students and newcomers of the era with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique, beauty and labor. With the strong support of Tianjin University of Foreign Chinese Education, with the full cooperation of all parts of Dongjiang, and through the unremitting efforts of all teachers and students, the influence of Dongjiang Xiaowai continues to expand and its reputation is increasing.
In the future, Dongjiang will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Tianjin University of Foreign Chinese, continuously enrich the connotation of running a school, improve the quality of running a school, and jointly build a characteristic education brand of Dongjiang. The advanced school-running concept, education method and management model will be integrated into the nine-year consistent school after the transformation. We will continue to dig deep into the cultural characteristics of the campus with the ocean as the core and the discipline characteristics with foreign languages as the core, form an education model with the characteristics of Dongjiang, write a new chapter of the "city" in the blueprint of "Charming Colorful City and Ocean Island of Dongjiang", and make new contributions to accelerating the construction of the port-industry-city integration demonstration zone.
