IVERSON: The '03 generation is great, but the '96 draft lineup is definitely the best

Today, former NBA star Aaron Iverson said through social media: "When people talk about the strongest draft year, they will mention 1984 with Jordan, and 2003 with LeBron, Wade and Melon, and these two years have really produced a lot of great players. But I think the draft lineup of '96 was without a doubt the best. ”

Iverson entered the NBA in 1996 as a champion, and some of the most iconic players were selected that year. These include: Kobe Bryant (13th overall), Stephen Marbury (4th overall), Steve Nash (15th overall), Ray Allen (5th overall), Anthony Walker (6th overall), Sharif Abdur Rahim (3rd overall), Marcus Camby (2nd overall), Zaydrunas Ilgoskas (20th overall), Derek Fisher (24th overall), Pega Storyakovic (14th overall), Jermaine O'Neal (17th overall).

On April 14, 2016, Bryant played the last game of his NBA career; on November 1, 2016, Ray Allen announced his retirement; and on February 10, 2018, Marbury, the last player of the 96 golden generation who played in the CBA, officially retired.
