The dance drama "The Eternal Wave" is based on Li Bai, one of the "100 heroes and models who have made outstanding contributions to the founding of New China". On the basis of respecting history, "The Eternal Wave" is bold and original, integrating elements such as youthful colors, red memories, romantic feelings, and spy war atmosphere, and through the unique expression of the dance drama, the urban characteristics of old Shanghai, such as Shikumen, alleys, roads, newspaper halls, cheongsam tailor shops, etc., are presented on the stage in detail. A heroic image that can be sung and cried.
"The Eternal Wave" is also a work of "today's post-80s pay attention to their peers in the last century, and infect the current young people through creation and performance", with the chief choreographer Han Zhen, Zhou Liya, composer Yang Fan, costume designer Yang Donglin as the representative of the main creative team, and the Shanghai Song and Dance Troupe cast and staff led by young dancers Wang Jiajun, Zhu Jiejing, Hou Tengfei, and Wang Jing, is a group of young post-80s and 90s, who have consulted the precious historical materials of the revolutionary ancestors again and again, and have gone to Shanghai red education venues again and again.
