On October 3, the Feidong County Public Security Bureau of Hefei City announced four typical cases that had been dealt with for spreading rumors about the earthquake.
Case 1
On October 2, Ding Mouyin (male, 53 years old, from Bengbu) attracted the attention of netizens in order to gain traffic and attract the attention of netizens, and by grafting videos, he associated the false remarks that "earthquakes often occur at night" with the recent Feidong earthquake, and published it on public platforms such as Baijiahao, with more than 2,000 views. After discovering the clues, the police of the Feidong County Public Security Bureau immediately consulted relevant experts, and then drove to Huaishang District, Bengbu City overnight to summon Ding Mouyin to the case. Ding Mouyin was administratively detained for three days by the Feidong County Public Security Bureau for disturbing public order by fabricating facts.
Case 2
Since September 27, Liu Moujun (female, 34 years old, from Changfeng) rushed from Changfeng's residence to Dianbu Town, Feidong County, in order to gain traffic and increase fans for profit, and conducted a live broadcast on Douyin on the overnight stay, exaggerating and distorting the facts during the live broadcast. On the evening of October 1, 2024, Liu Moujun was seized by the police during a live broadcast on Taizishan Road in Dianbu Town, and more than 1,600 people watched at the peak on the Internet that night. After investigation, Liu Moujun usually brings goods online live broadcasts, and the remarks described are inconsistent with the facts. The Feidong County Public Security Bureau placed Liu Moujun under administrative detention for three days for disrupting public order by fabricating facts.
Case 3
On September 28, Liu Mouning (male, 37 years old, from Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province) in order to attract the attention of netizens, win traffic, and seek personal gain, generated a video about the Feidong earthquake through Baidu software automatic AI, and arbitrarily fabricated false information such as the government's rapid rescue after the Feidong County earthquake, donations and donations from all walks of life, and published it on the Internet, attracting more than 20,000 views. After the Feidong County Public Security Bureau discovered the false information after an online inspection, it organized the police to immediately go to Xi'an City to investigate and collect evidence. Liu Mouning deeply realized his mistake and took the initiative to delete the work to eliminate the impact, and the Feidong County Public Security Bureau disrupted public order with fictitious facts, and sentenced Liu Mouning to administrative detention for seven days, and executed it in a different place in Xi'an City.
Case 4
On September 28, Song Mouwen (female, 21 years old, from Heilongjiang) revised the false pictures and texts related to the Feidong earthquake published by others and forwarded them on Baijiahao, causing panic among the masses and seriously disrupting social order. On October 2, with the cooperation of the Suzhou Municipal Public Security Organs, the Feidong County Public Security Bureau imposed a two-day administrative detention penalty on Song Mouwen in accordance with the provisions of Article 25, Paragraph 1 of the "Public Security Administration Punishment Law", and executed it in another place in Suzhou City.
