Yellow River News Network Changzhi News: In order to further standardize the clinical management of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in hospitals and reduce the occurrence of deep vein thrombosis and fatal pulmonary embolism, on October 18, the Peace Hospital Affiliated to Changzhi Medical College held a kick-off meeting of the Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) Prevention and Control Center. This conference was carried out online and offline simultaneously, and Xia Lei, an expert from the National VTE Prevention and Control Center and a professor of the China-Japan Friendship Hospital, was invited to give an academic lecture. More than 150 party and government leaders, directors and chief nurses of relevant clinical medical technology departments, directors of some party and government departments, and clinical quality control doctors attended the on-site meeting, and more than 330 medical staff participated in the online meeting. At the meeting, Shang Jinping, Secretary of the Party Committee, expressed a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to Professor Xia Lei for his arrival. He pointed out that at present, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Peace Hospital, it is also a critical period for the Peace Hospital to fully open a new voyage of development in the "14th Five-Year Plan", open the upgrading of disciplines, and improve medical capabilities, and it is necessary to promote the prevention and treatment of VTE through this kick-off meeting, explore new paths and new methods, and apply the new experience of experts and scholars in well-known hospitals in China to work. President Li Hongkuo read out the relevant documents of the establishment of the Venous Thrombosis Prevention and Control Center of Peace Hospital, clarified the organizational structure and corresponding responsibilities of the VTE Prevention and Control Center, and emphasized that all relevant departments need to perform their duties conscientiously and do a good job in related work.

Subsequently, Xia Lei gave a lecture entitled "Construction of VTE Prevention and Management System in Hospitals", from the management point of view, how to build a VTE prevention and control management system in the hospital, and pointed out the direction for the construction of the VTE Prevention and Control Center of Peace Hospital; Wu Buqiang, director of the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery (General Surgery) of Peace Hospital, and Mu Lin, director of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, respectively gave lectures entitled "Diagnosis and Treatment Specifications for Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)" and "Diagnosis and Treatment Specifications for Pulmonary Thromboembolism", from clinical manifestations, evaluation and diagnosis, Venous thromboembolism has been trained in terms of treatment strategies and other aspects.
