Affected by the easterly airflow, the weather in Shencheng today (September 18) will be mainly cloudy, with short-term showers and random distribution of precipitation in some areas. Today, the temperature is between 26~33 °C, although the maximum temperature is still 33 °C, but under the breeze, the body feels much cooler than before.
Today's blue sky and white clouds are like a background painting drawn by nature, and the look is fresh and moving. On the square of Xujiahui Academy, citizens gather here in twos and threes, some stop to enjoy the greenery of the square, some use cameras or mobile phones to record the clear skylight, and some citizens and friends rest on the benches under the shade of the trees and enjoy a leisurely time.
As soon as Bebinca left, Prasan followed. Shanghai Central Meteorological Observatory issued a typhoon blue warning signal at 14:00 on September 18, 2024: Affected by Typhoon No. 14 "Prasan" (tropical storm level) this year, it is expected that there will be gusts of 7~8 in the city from the morning of the 19th to the first half of the night, and strong winds of 8~9 in high-rise buildings and coastal areas along the river. The Municipal Flood Control Headquarters decided to simultaneously launch the city's flood control and Taiwan level IV response action.
The center of this year's No. 14 typhoon "Prassan" (tropical storm level) is about 450 kilometers southeast of Naha City, Ryukyu Islands at 11 a.m. today, with a maximum wind force of 9 (23 m/s) near the center, a minimum pressure of 990 hPa at the center, and a wind circle radius of 200~280 kilometers at level 7. It is understood that "Prassan" will move rapidly to the northwest at a speed of 45~50 kilometers per hour, and the intensity will not change much.
As for the future route and possible landing zone of the "Prasang," this reporter interviewed Wu Rui, chief service officer of the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau: "Judging from the current situation, the 'Prasang' is moving in the northwest direction, and it is expected to enter the waters of the East China Sea this night and approach the east coast of China, and will make landfall along the coast from Yuhuan to Xiangshan in Zhejiang Province from tomorrow afternoon to evening." Due to the influence of its outer cloud system, Shencheng will experience heavy to heavy rain. ”
The Shanghai Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that with the approach of "Prassan", under the influence of the easterly airflow around the typhoon, the temperature in Shencheng will be slightly lowered, remaining between 26~31 °C, and there will be cold air around the 22nd, rainfall and cooling, and the maximum temperature will drop below 30 °C. "Prassan" moved fast in the early stage, but after landfall, it may slow down and affect the effect for a longer time due to the adjustment of the circulation situation. In addition, there is currently a tropical depression in the South China Sea, which is about to strengthen into Typhoon Suli, the 15th typhoon this year, which has increased the uncertainty of the path and intensity of "Prasang".
