Brown: Achuva's performance on the defensive end reminds me of chasing dreams

On July 11, Beijing time, Warriors assistant coach Mike Brown talked about Heat center Presches Achuva in an interview.

Brown continues to serve as nigerian men's basketball coach in this offseason, and Achuva is currently a member of the Nigerian men's basketball team's 15-man roster. During a recent training session, Achuva showed extraordinary defensive dominance, which reminded Brown of the Warriors' defensive big man Draymond Green.

"About two days ago, we had an intra-team training session where Achuva started by pinching the opposing defender on the outside, and when the defender passed the ball into the inside, he rushed over to complete a block. I was so impressed with this defensive round that I immediately thought of Green, who was everywhere on the defensive end. To be honest, I think Achuva has the potential to be the best defensive player. Brown said.

"I'm sure Coach Spoo will be very happy to see how he performed in the training camp. The youngster has improved a lot last season and if he can be named to the final 12-man squad and compete in the Olympics, he will definitely be further promoted. Brown continued.

Achuva is the 20th rookie in the first round of 2020, and in his first season in the league, he played in 61 games, started four games, and averaged 5.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 0.5 blocks per game.
