About the Author
Yan Liang, Han nationality, was born in December 1986 in Datong, Shanxi Province, and now lives in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, and has a strong interest in traditional Chinese culture, especially ancient clothing. Since 2009, he has been researching ancient crown costumes, and has created and published video explanations of Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasty crown costumes. Subsequently, he worked on the completion of the painting of the crowns and costumes of all the major dynasties.

The book is divided into three volumes: the foundation of the crown costume, the explanation of the crown costume, and the display of the crown costume, which comprehensively shows the crown and uniform system of the Song Dynasty emperor, queen, crown prince, ministers, female officials, scholars, and military guards. The content of the book is mainly based on historical records, murals, stone carvings, terracotta figurines, etc., and most of the literary parts above the accompanying text are the original texts of relevant historical records, which are the textual basis for cartography.
