Zhu Qingfeng, 46, is an ordinary teacher at Tumen Central School in Nanlushan Town, Yiyuan County, Zibo City, Shandong Province, deep in the mountains. Her "gourd painting" class was very popular with the children.
Since 2020, with the support of the school, Zhu Qingfeng has used his gourd painting skills to open a "gourd painting" class while teaching students cultural classes, and set up a "gourd painting interest group" to teach children to learn to create regularly. From leading the children to collect gourds, to guiding the children to plant, manage and pick gourds, and then to teaching drawing skills, Zhu Qingfeng's "gourd painting" classroom training has more than 200 students, nearly 60 students are proficient in gourd painting skills, and some students' works have won awards in competitions at all levels.
Teacher Zhu Qingfeng said that it is her greatest wish to let more children in the mountains become "gourd babies" who like "gourd painting" and inherit the gourd painting skills.
