Demonstration base of comprehensive rice-fishery cultivation in Baiwu Village, Nagu Town
Located in Nagu Town, Huize County, the mountain here is purple-red, the soil layer is rich in minerals such as potassium, and the garnet red is like a gemstone, which is very sweet. The pomegranate base of Shuyong Pomegranate Planting Professional Cooperative has just applied farm manure, and the branches sprout young shoots in the spring wind.
Once the poorest area in Nagu Town, the purple sand shale soil is physically weathered, the soil layer is shallow, and the soil is dry and water-scarce. Since 2005, the local pomegranate cultivation has been explored, and the industry has gradually emerged. For industry to develop, infrastructure must come first. Last year, the Shanghai-Yunnan Poverty Alleviation Cooperation Project invested 2.1 million yuan to expand the planting of 440 mu of 35,200 Tunisian soft seed pomegranates in Fajika Village, and upgraded the precision drip irrigation system including 40,728 meters of water supply pipelines and 4 reservoirs. Today, the pomegranate base of Shuyong Cooperative has grown to 1,200 mu, and last year's output value reached more than 6 million yuan, of which more than 4 million yuan was used for the wage expenditure of migrant villagers.
"Soft seed pomegranates plant 88 trees per mu, and a tree produces 40 kilograms of fruit during the fruiting period, calculated according to 16 yuan per kilogram, and the average output value per mu is more than 30,000 yuan." Last year, there was only one pomegranate in Nagu Town, with an output value of 600 million yuan, and there were not a few farmers with an average household income of 200,000 yuan. Lin Zhiwen, mayor of Nagu Town, introduced that the Shanghai-Yunnan Cooperative Pomegranate Planting Project invested a total of 8 million yuan in Nagu Town last year, turning the previously deserted slope land into a "cornucopia", and the value of land circulation exceeded the dam area. Through land circulation, the sale of farm manure, the migration of farm manure, the migration of workers in the base, and the development of industries by peasant households, peasant households have realized "work to be waged, industry to follow, enterprises to take, and beneficial to obtain", driving 689 households and 1937 people to increase their income and become rich, of which 210 households and 795 people, the average household income increased by 15287 yuan.
Not far from the pomegranate base is the demonstration base of comprehensive rice and fishery breeding in Baiwu Village, Nagu Town. The base was built in 2019, covering an area of 600 mu, and has currently invested 9.58 million yuan in the shanghai-Yunnan support fund, improving the infrastructure construction including road surface, electricity, site, insect-proof solar lamps, etc.
The base is mainly based on crayfish farming, supplemented by planting rice and russet, and good natural conditions and infrastructure have attracted Shanghai Yuanxin Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd. to settle down, with an output value of 12,000 yuan per mu in 2020, and the supply of products is in short supply. The project has benefited 2,140 people from 1,530 households in Baiwu Village, of which 167 households and 642 people from 167 poor households have been lifted out of poverty.
Make up for the shortcomings, the industry boom. Since August 2017, when Shanghai Baoshan District and Huize County launched the East-West Poverty Alleviation Cooperation, the two sides have based on the natural resources and abundant labor advantages of Huize's green ecology, adhered to the industrial development as the focus of poverty alleviation cooperation and the root cause of poverty alleviation, and promoted industrial cooperation to "spit out green branches". A total of 88.37 million yuan was invested in industrial poverty alleviation, upgrading agricultural infrastructure, and building 31 industrial projects that increased the income of poor people, such as snow peach, cold-water fish, vegetables (edible mushrooms), and pig breeding. While promoting "Shanghai enterprises into Yunnan", it also actively promotes the expansion of consumption poverty alleviation through "cloud products into Shanghai", sells poverty alleviation products through the "poverty alleviation 832 platform", organizes enterprises to participate in various agricultural product exhibitions in Shanghai, and enterprise docking sales meetings, etc., effectively solves the problem of agricultural product sales.
