After receiving the alarm, the command center immediately assigned the police force of the city police station to the rescue through the walkie-talkie. Zhu Zhiyu, a member of the urban police squadron who was on duty near the Bayi Bridge, rushed to the scene of the incident after hearing the police information on the walkie-talkie that someone was about to jump into the river and commit suicide.
At 9:45:53, after Zhu Zhiyu arrived at the position of the suicide crowd, he did not hesitate to take off his police hat and individual police equipment, quickly climbed over the guardrail, and grabbed the suicide crowd.
