NBA analyst Jeff Van Gundy is the latest to add fuel to the fire of Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving's COVID-19 vaccine booth incident. Irving has been under fire over the past few weeks for insisting on not getting vaccinated until the 2021-2022 season.

Owen was slammed on live television by Jeff Van Gundy for the controversial vaccine incident

According to Owen, he did his own research and claimed he had the right to refuse the COVID-19 vaccine, albeit with many effects. According to the former manager, it's hard to understand. In covering the miami heat and houston rockets' preseason games, Van Gundy challenged Irving's beliefs:

Van Gundy said, "You know what drives me crazy? I'm doing my own research. What does that look like – are you doing your own research? Are you learning yourself? Are you in the lab every night? What are you doing? I don't understand what this means, I'm doing my own research',"

Amid all the opposition to his personal decision (which he has every right to do), the former NBA champion doesn't seem to be worried. Irving has been missing for the past few weeks, and teammates like Durant and Harden are hoping the team will fix that.

Both of the Nets' former MVPs believe Irving won't be a part of the team, but if Irving decides not to get vaccinated, Brooklyn may have no choice because of regulations in some parts of the league that have lost their starting point guard for much of the season.

Van Gundy added: "We have very smart people, smarter than anybody in the NBA, they've done their research, and, I would say. Even if Kyrie Irving doesn't play, they (the Nets) are good enough. They can win. ”
