Nimonic® 115 is a precipitation hardenable alloy that is available in rod and extruded profiles. The material is known as a creep resistant alloy and was originally developed for use up to 1010°C
of high temperature work. The product has excellent oxidation resistance and high-temperature strength and was originally used in the production of gas turbine blades. The heat treatment of the product is through solution treatment, followed by aging treatment.
Molding and machining
Nimonic 115 has good ductility; Therefore, despite the need for powerful equipment, forming is superior because the alloy has a higher strength compared to conventional steel. Thorough cleaning is required after forming, as lubricant residues can lead to future embrittlement of the alloy. The alloy is machined using conventional machining methods and work hardened during machining. Water-based coolant is required for high-speed machining.

Alloy fillers are required for welding - this can be a complete alloy match or fillers with high nickel, cobalt, molybdenum and chromium content. Suitable welding techniques include gas-to-metal arc welding, gas-tungsten electrode welding, submerged arc welding, and shielded metal arc welding.
In motorsport
This superalloy has a unique combination of high temperature and mechanical strength, making it suitable for motorsport applications where high surface stability is required. Exhaust valves, fasteners, springs, and engine components are good examples of alloys where they can be used.

NIMONIC® Alloy 80A (UNS N07080/W. Nr. 2.4952 & 2.4631) is a forged, age-hardenable nickel-chromium alloy reinforced by the addition of titanium, aluminum, and carbon for use at temperatures up to 815°C (1500°F). It is produced by high-frequency melting and casting molding in air in order to extrude the shape.
Yehan alloy delivery status:
Seamless tube: solid solution + acid white, adjustable length;
Plates: solution, pickling, trimming.
Welded pipe: solid solution acid white + RT% inspection;
Forgings: annealing + polishing.
The bars are forged and rolled, and the surface is polished or turned.
The strip is shipped after cold rolling, softening, solution and descaling.
