On August 8, BYD Ocean Network officially launched two new cars, the 2025 Seal and the Seal 07 DM-i. Among them, the price of the 2025 seal is 175,800-239,800 yuan, and the price of the seal 07 DM-i is 139,800-195,800 yuan.

These two models are already familiar to everyone, and they are equipped with the e-platform 3.0 Evo and the fifth-generation DM technology, which represent BYD's latest pure electric and plug-in hybrid technologies, respectively.
The Seal is the first sedan built on BYD's e-platform 3.0 Evo. As an annual facelift, the 2025 Seal is no different from the current model in terms of exterior design. In terms of interior, the center console, air conditioning vents, center armrests and other details will be adjusted to make it conform to the new family design style of Ocean Net.
In addition, the 2025 Seal has a new Sky Purple exterior color and a sardine orange interior color, which is more in line with the fashion trend. All models come standard with electric sunshades, double-layer soundproof glass, 50W fast charging, heated steering wheel, on-board ETC, 15 airbags and other configurations.
Based on the e-platform 3.0 Evo, the 2025 Seal adopts a series of new technologies such as CTB body battery integrated architecture, tandem laser welding SiC silicon carbide, 800V high-voltage platform, 12-in-1 electric drive assembly, 16-in-1 thermal management integrated module, and intelligent upflow fast charging technology, with a maximum speed of 240km/h, which is currently the fastest BYD model.
In terms of intelligent driving, the 2025 seal can be equipped with LiDAR as an option, and is equipped with the "Eye of the Gods" high-end intelligent driving assistance system - DiPilot 300, which can realize functions such as autonomous lane change and autonomous on-ramp and on-ramp. The rear-wheel drive version is equipped with the iTAC intelligent torque control system, and the four-wheel drive version is also equipped with the Yunlin C intelligent damping body control system, which has functions such as intelligent drift.
The predecessor of the Seal 07 DM-i is the Seal DM, and the new model is the second sedan equipped with the fifth-generation DM technology of Ocean Network. In terms of exterior dimensions, it is still the same as the model on sale. In terms of interior, the seal 07DM-i is equipped with a streamer gray interior as standard and a real aluminum trim strip, which has improved the texture.
The Seal 07 DM-i is available with two powertrains: 1.5L and 1.5Ti. Among them, the 1.5L engine has a maximum thermal efficiency of 46.06%, which is already widely known on the Seal 06 DM-i that was previously launched.
The new fifth-generation DM technology 1.5Ti engine is the first time on the car, with a maximum power of 115 kilowatts, which is more balanced between performance and energy consumption. The fuel consumption of the 1.5T DM-i version is 3.4L/100km, and the comprehensive range is also more than 2000km when fully charged.
In terms of configuration, the Seal 07DM-i is equipped with DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system as standard, and the high-end model also adds high-end intelligent driving functions such as ILCA lever lane change.
Comments:
The seal is a popular model of BYD Ocean Network, and has sold more than 290,000 units so far. Although the 2025 model is only an annual facelift and has not changed much in terms of styling design, it is still very innovative in the upgrade of intelligent configuration and core power part.
For example, lidar finally appeared on the seal car this time, which has greatly improved the seal's intelligent driving ability. The 1.5T DM-i is first installed on the Seal 07 DM-i, and compared to the 1.5L, the performance and fuel consumption are more balanced.
In addition, both models have been greatly upgraded in terms of configuration, and the price has been reduced to varying degrees compared with the old model, so the cost performance has been significantly improved. The 2025 Seal will hit the version with lidar to less than 200,000 yuan, and the Seal 07 DM-i will drop the starting price to less than 140,000 yuan. From this point of view, BYD's sales target of 5 million units this year will have great hope of being achieved.
