More than 0 years ago, Audi took a strategic step to become the first luxury car brand to enter the Chinese market and the first high-end car brand to localize production in China, successfully cultivating and promoting the development of China's luxury car market.
As the Chinese automotive market is at the forefront of global electrification and intelligent development, Audi has always attached great importance to the Chinese market and once again dared to take a new step and work with SAIC to develop a new model of joint ventures.
Audi, SAIC and SAIC Volkswagen officially announced in May this year that they will further strengthen their local cooperation. Through the partnership, Audi will further expand its portfolio of all-electric models in China to meet the needs of Chinese customers.
The first three all-electric models will cover the B-segment and C-segment segments, taking Audi's product portfolio in China to a new level. As a result of this partnership, Audi's time-to-market has been significantly shortened by more than 30 percent.
A joint project management team has been set up based on the partnership, with Audi's Fermín Soeira as CEO, who is actively leading and promoting the cooperation. The jointly developed products will embody the essence of the cooperation of "beauty and beauty", and the new products will be Audi cars with pure brand genes.
The new joint venture model sets a precedent for international luxury car companies to strengthen local cooperation and provides an innovative model for international car brands to develop in China: Audi will bring together the best of both parties to quickly and efficiently launch a new generation of Audi's high-end intelligent connected electric vehicles that meet the unique needs of Chinese customers with SAIC's century-old luxury heritage and SAIC's cutting-edge insights and innovation speed for Chinese consumers.
This cooperation not only demonstrates Audi's commitment to open innovation, but also demonstrates its determination to promote the development of China's automotive industry with new productivity and achieve high-quality development. Through the partnership, Audi will introduce a globally unified luxury car standard into China's supply chain system, promote the deep integration of joint ventures and upstream and downstream value chains, and provide strong experience for Chinese companies in the process of high-end Chinese brands.
This move is also an important part of Audi's dual-partnership strategy: Together with FAW, Audi established Audi FAW New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. in 2021 to introduce the global PPE luxury pure electric platform to China and accelerate the development of electrification, and the first Audi Q6L e-tron built on the PPE platform will be delivered to customers in 2025.
Together with SAIC, Audi is focusing on the development of innovative local products, and with the new cooperation announced in May this year, the first model will be launched to the market in 2025 at "Chinese speed". Relying on this unique structure, Audi is committed to bringing more diverse and differentiated high-end products to Chinese users through a two-pronged approach, while at the same time stimulating the Audi brand's broader growth advantages in China.
The new "Advanced Digitized Platform" jointly developed by Audi and SAIC Motor announced in May this year is an important milestone in Audi's strategy in China, which aims to best meet the unique needs of the Chinese market.
Based on this new platform focused on the Chinese market, the two companies will jointly develop a new generation of Audi's high-end intelligent and connected electric vehicles, aiming to meet or exceed the expectations of Chinese users for intelligent technology, so as to efficiently develop new customer groups and market segments, bring more intelligent, convenient and environmentally friendly travel experience to Chinese consumers, and inject more innovative elements and vitality into the Chinese automotive market.
