AI innovates early screening of brain health to fill the gap in preventive medicine
In recent years, the frequency of technological innovation breakthroughs in the field of life science and health has accelerated, and breakthroughs have been made in the field of new drug research and development, such as Alzheimer's disease, tumors and other major diseases that threaten human life. In the field of biotechnology, such as vaccine research and development and gene technology, innovation is the main theme of forging new quality productivity.
As a leading enterprise in the field of preventive medicine in China, Meinian Health Group has accelerated the in-depth deployment of artificial intelligence in precision prevention early.
As early as 2017, Meinian Health began to implement AI applications for lung nodules. After several years of development, AI technology has been widely used in coronary artery calcification scores, electrocardiogram, breast ultrasound, fundus, and children's bone age assessment and screening.
In the past two years, Meinian Health has targeted AI at brain health screening.

According to Yu Rong, Meinian Health launched the country's first innovative product focusing on early screening of stroke and Alzheimer's disease in September 2022, based on high-precision brain magnetic resonance imaging, applying artificial intelligence image analysis technology and the whole brain standard database of all ages in healthy people in China to identify structural abnormalities and functional degeneration in the early stage of brain disease. In 2023, it will cover more than 200 cities and more than 400 branches across the country, with more than 100,000 examinations, and the detection rate of abnormal brain structure under the age of 50 is 18.90%.

In addition, in December 2023, Meinian Health joined hands with the Institute of Brain-like Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology of Fudan University to launch a brain physical examination and screening program for millions of people in China, relying on Meinian Health's MRI equipment and a huge network of national physical examination centers, planning to complete 3 million brain health examinations in the next three years.

"Originally, the public's understanding of physical examination was more about screening for cardiovascular, tumor, digestive tract and metabolic diseases, but now with the intensification of the aging society, Chinese people are paying more and more attention to brain health, so we launched the brain physical examination and screening program for millions of people in China, which is a major breakthrough based on artificial intelligence technology." Yu Rong introduced that the technology used in this project is the first in China, filling the gap of brain health in the field of preventive medicine.

How to let the public form their own positive drive for health is a problem that Meinian Health has been thinking about.
Yu Rong believes that the application of new quality productivity in the field of big health, in addition to accelerating innovation, should also improve quality and efficiency. Therefore, Meinian Health has reached a strategic cooperation with HUAWEI CLOUD and Runda Medical, and with the help of AIGC technology, it has developed the first health management AI robot in China, "Healthy Xiaomei" digital intelligent health manager, upgrading from "single physical examination service" to "whole-process health management".

"In the past, we provided post-check-up services, which were more manual consultation and report interpretation, but now we have trained the 'Healthy Xiaomei' health management robot on the basis of ChatGPT, which has improved the efficiency of post-check-up services and public satisfaction." Yu Rong introduced that the "Healthy Xiaomei" robot is like a virtual general practitioner who has been with him, which can reach the level of general practitioners in tertiary hospitals, opening up a huge space for health management services after physical examination.
Different from traditional health management services, using advanced generative AI technology and precise data-driven services, Healthy Beauty can provide users with personalized health management suggestions, plans and services, and combine the latest medical research results to tailor health management plans for users, and adjust and optimize suggestions in a timely manner.

Everyone is the first person responsible for their own health, so that the public can better pay attention to health and enjoy health, which is also the concept that Meinian Health has been implementing.
Continue to overcome difficulties and build a benchmark platform for "AI + health management" in China
How to detect diseases earlier at the front end and save more medical expenses at the back end is a huge challenge faced by the health service industry, and it is also the process of the industry's development to seek new quality.
In Yu Rong's view, the primary prevention of tumors, the intelligent diagnosis of traditional Chinese medicine, and the diagnostic quality of ultrasound are all key points that need to be continuously tackled. "How can we screen for critical diseases more accurately? How can AI and bots be better combined? The application of AIGC technology in preventive medicine has only just begun, and there are still many aspects that need to be improved, which is a long-term process."
In the process of overcoming difficulties, Meinian Health also pays attention to the selection and upgrading of talents. Yu Rong pointed out that without the upgrading of talents, the strategic upgrading of enterprises is not good, and the sales personnel recruited now will pay more attention to whether the talents have a medical background. Meinian Health launched the Management Trainee Program, cultivated medical talents through school-enterprise cooperation, and carried out dean training courses, etc., so as to continue to build an excellent talent system.
According to Meinian Health's 2023 annual report, the company achieved operating income of 10.894 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 26.44%[1]. After the revenue exceeded the 10 billion mark for the first time in 2023, Yu Rong did not stop.
