On October 24, the Wisdom Investigation Center of the Xincheng District Branch of the Hohhot City Public Security Bureau issued a new type of fraud warning: Recently, there was a new type of telecommunications fraud case in the jurisdiction on the grounds that the courier was infected with the new crown virus, proposed to destroy the courier and compensate, and then asked the victim to transfer funds to a safe account for thawing and defrauding the victim of money on the grounds that the account was frozen.

It is understood that at 16:00 on October 23, Bai Moumou of Hongshankou Village in The New City received a call from the customer service of the impostor charger saying that because the courier was infected with the new crown virus, the courier should be destroyed centrally, and the victim should be refunded and compensated after destruction. Subsequently, the suspect asked the victim to provide a bank account and informed the victim that the card had been frozen, and the money could only be unfrozen after transferring the money to a secure account. The victims were defrauded of a total of 93,000 yuan in four transfers in accordance with their requirements. At present, the case is under further investigation.

On October 25, the Wisdom Investigation Center of the Xincheng District Branch of the Hohhot Municipal Public Security Bureau continued to issue an urgent warning: recently, a new type of telecommunications fraud case occurred in the jurisdiction on the grounds of improving social security card information. After the victim received a text message claiming to be the "Social Security Department" sent by the number beginning with +91, the victim mistakenly believed that his social security information was not perfect and clicked on the link to carry out relevant operations, when he saw that the social security account had expired and needed to transfer the amount to activate, the victim used the link to pay, resulting in the bank card number and password leaking, and the money in the card was quickly transferred.

To this end, the public security organs solemnly remind: the +91 segment is a number randomly generated by the use of number change software abroad, and the links sent by it are all with Trojan virus programs, and when receiving such text messages, remember not to click on the link.
