On August 6, Inner Mongolia Sino-Canadian Agricultural Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Sino-Canadian Company) held the "China-Netherlands Potato Industry Development Forum". The forum was co-hosted by Sino-Canadian Corporation and Netherlands Agrico, bringing together elite scholars, business leaders and industry experts from the potato industry at home and abroad to discuss the current situation, challenges and future development trends of the potato industry.
The forum kicked off in a warm and expectant atmosphere, and the relevant person in charge of Agrico published a report entitled "The Development and Future Prospects of AGRICO in China", which introduced Agrico's deep cultivation in the Chinese market in detail, shared the company's successful experience in potato seed breeding, technology introduction and market promotion, and looked forward to the future cooperation and development blueprint. Li Guangcun, a researcher at the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, gave a speech on "Potato Industry Development and Science and Technology Empowerment", deeply analyzed the key role of science and technology in promoting the upgrading of the potato industry, and put forward the strategy of using modern biotechnology and information technology to enhance industrial competitiveness. Yin Yuhe, director of the Ulanqab Institute of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences and chief scientist and researcher of the potato industry system of the Mongolia region, shared the future prospects of the potato industry in the Mongolia Autonomous Region from the perspective of regional characteristics. During the period, the relevant persons in charge of Sinochem Modern Agricultural Technology and Solution Department, Lamb Weston Potato Industry China Co., Ltd., Fujingtang Starch Potato Industry Group Co., Ltd. and Sino-Canada Company respectively made a number of reports such as "MAP Helps the Development of China's Potato Industry", "Strengthening Seed Potato Production Innovation and Promoting the Development of Potato Industry", "Fujingtang Agricultural Group Leading the Innovation of Industry Development Model", "Sino-Canadian - China's Potato Seed Industry Leader" and so on. The participants also carried out in-depth exchanges and discussions on topics such as potato seed industry innovation, technology empowerment, intensive processing, socialized services and financial services, and the reports of the heads of each company not only provided valuable industry insights for the participants, but also pointed out the direction for the future development of the potato industry.
After the forum, the participants visited the testing center, tissue culture center, flour factory and other places of Sino-Canadian Company, and watched the breeding and innovation achievements of more than 150 potato varieties in the potato seed industry innovation experimental demonstration base, which further deepened their confidence and expectations for the future development of the potato industry.
