In the first half of the year, the eastern region completed 772.1 billion yuan of Internet business revenue, a year-on-year increase of 5.2%, 0.4 percentage points lower than the national growth rate, accounting for 89% of the national Internet business revenue. The revenue of Internet business in the central region was 40.88 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12%, 6.4 percentage points higher than the national growth rate. The revenue from Internet business in the western region was 52.54 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.6%. The Internet business revenue in Northeast China was 2.08 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.1%.

More than half of the regions achieved positive growth in Internet business
In the first half of the year, Beijing (up 11.4%), Shanghai (down 1.7%), Guangdong (up 6.6%), Zhejiang (up 3.8%) and Tianjin (up 8.1%) in terms of cumulative Internet business revenue totaled 715.8 billion yuan, up 5.7% year-on-year, accounting for 82.5% of the country's Internet business revenue (excluding cross-regional enterprises). There are 16 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) that have achieved positive growth in Internet business revenue across the country, of which Gansu and Anhui have achieved a growth rate of more than 30%, and Shanxi, Xinjiang and Tibet have decreased by more than 30%.
