As a fun sport, pickleball has been popular in Europe and the United States for decades, and has the advantages of strong fun, diverse gameplay, strong adaptability and high participation. It has the elegance of tennis, the rhythm of table tennis and the lightness of badminton, which can be understood as a large table tennis ball, or a mini tennis ball, which is a sport of playing tennis on the badminton court with a table tennis racket.

Venue and equipment

The playing field is a 13.40 m (44 ft) long and 6.10 m (20 ft) wide field with a net in the middle. The course is divided into two identical halves on the left and right, each consisting of a right tee, a left tee and a non-volley.

Serving and scoring rules

The ball is served diagonally over the net to the opponent's receiving area. Matches can be scored using either a service point system or a direct score system.

Violation of Rules

If a player fails to return the ball to the opponent's field in accordance with the rules, it is a breach.

Non-volley zone rules

An area extending 2.13 m (7 ft) from each side of the net is a non-volley zone in which a player is not allowed to hit the ball without bouncing off the ground.

Match Suspension Rules

Team composition

Each team usually consists of 4 to 7 players, with mixed genders and co-ops, with the aim of promoting gender equality and social interaction.

How the score is scored

Score points by passing the disc to the opponent's scoring zone, where teammates catch the disc and switch immediately if the disc hits the ground or is truncated by the opponent.

No Adjudication and Arbitration

There are no referees in ultimate frisbee competitions, and all disputes are supervised and adjudicated by the players themselves, which fosters a sense of self-management and fair play among the players.

Technical moves

It mainly includes throwing frisbee and catching frisbee, throwing frisbee is divided into two ways: forehand and backhand, and catching frisbee takes different connections according to the position of the frisbee, such as pancake pick-up, crab-type catch, etc.

Site setup

Ultimate Frisbee is usually played on a rectangular shape with well-defined scoring areas. The field where the frisbee is tossed may have a variety of natural obstacles, which make the game more difficult and interesting.

Lacrosse is known as one of the fastest ball games in the world, as a team sport that combines the characteristics of football, basketball and ice hockey, it requires players to have strong physical fitness, fast speed and skill, and its appeal is no less than that of any popular sport.

On October 16, 2023, at the 141st IOC Plenary Session in Mumbai, India, lacrosse became an official sport at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games after a vote!

Format of the competition

Lacrosse is played in two formats: 10-a-side and 6-a-side. In a ten-a-side game, each team consists of a goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, and three forwards. In a six-a-side game, each team has six players, including a goalkeeper, and the remaining five players are both offensive and defensive players. (The regular game is now a six-a-side)

Player equipment

Players need to wear appropriate protective gear such as helmets, chest guards, elbow pads, gear guards, etc., to protect themselves from injury during intense matches.

Fouls & Penalties

Fouls are classified as minor fouls, serious fouls, and eviction fouls. A minor foul may result in the surrender of possession or a 30-second time penalty; 1 minute penalty for serious rule violations; An eviction foul is the most serious foul and can result in a player being ejected. Race time: The ten-a-side competition is a 100m x 55m grass field, divided into four quarters of 15 minutes each. The six-a-side competition is 70m x 36m, and each quarter lasts 8 minutes, with a total of four quarters.

Time limit for shots

In lacrosse, the attacking team must attempt a shot within 30 seconds or else surrender possession.

These rules ensure the fairness and safety of the game, while also increasing the spectacle and competitiveness of the game.
