Phoronix deliberately tested the difference between the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 switch multithreading technology, the operating system is Ubuntu 24.04, and a total of 57 projects were run.

On average, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 can improve performance by 18% with multithreading enabled, and some projects such as the toyBrot Fractal Generator can even improve performance by up to 67%!

In terms of power consumption, there is almost no difference between switching multithreading, with an average of 19.24W off and 19.63W on, a difference of only 2%.

As for the temperature, it remains the same at all.

Intel did not explain why it canceled hyper-threading technology, probably because of the heterogeneous hybrid architecture like the AVX-512, but Intel claims that removing hyper-threading from P-cores can improve energy efficiency by 30%.
