The first deputy commander of the air force, after his death, his body was frozen for 12 years before he could be buried, why is this?
I can't wait here any longer!
In 1914, Wang Bingzhang, a peasant family in a remote village in Anyang, Henan Province, was born. He had to drop out of school in the second year of junior high school due to financial difficulties, and even so, he worked as an apprentice in an iron shop to make a living, but he never gave up his thirst for knowledge and his vision for the future.
1929 was a turning point in fate for Wang Bingzhang. At the age of 15, with his outstanding intelligence and perseverance, he was admitted to the newspaper class of the Northwest Army Radio School founded by Feng Yuxiang.
During his time at school, he not only studied diligently and mastered radio technology, but was also deeply influenced by his surroundings and teachers, and gradually established lofty ideals.
However, times are unpredictable. In 1930, Wang Bingzhang entered Jiangxi with Feng Yuxiang's troops, and soon suffered a defeat in the Central Plains War. His unit was reorganized, and in the face of such a predicament, Wang Bingzhang did not waver in his revolutionary faith. On the contrary, he saw opportunities in the midst of difficulties and strengthened his determination to fight for the country and the people.
The following year, the Ningdu Uprising broke out, which was an important historical moment. Wang Bingzhang resolutely participated in the uprising, decided to devote himself to the cause of the Red Army, and began his brand-new revolutionary journey. He said to his comrades-in-arms: "I can't wait here any longer, I want to throw myself into the torrent of revolution!" Then he did not hesitate to join the ranks of the Red Army and began a new combat life.
After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, Wang Bingzhang was appointed as the chief of the Operations Section of the 115th Division Headquarters of the Eighth Route Army, and the burden on his shoulders was heavier, but he was not afraid, took the lead, and led the troops to charge.
During the Battle of Pingxingguan, Wang Bingzhang personally participated in the formulation of the battle plan, he stared at the map and said to the staff officer beside him: "We must make full use of the terrain advantage to surprise the enemy." After the battle began, he went to the front line in person, commanded Ruoding, and finally succeeded in defeating the Japanese attack.
The Guangyang ambush was also an important battle in Wang Bingzhang's military career. He carefully arranged the ambush circle in advance, and when the Japanese army entered the ambush range, he decisively ordered: "Fight!" "For a time, the sound of gunfire and artillery was deafening, and the Japanese army was taken by surprise and suffered heavy losses.
In 1938, Wang Bingzhang was appointed chief of staff of the 115th Division Headquarters, and he often discussed tactics and formulated battle plans with his subordinates. At a tactical seminar, he said loudly: "We must use tactics flexibly so that the enemy cannot find out the details of us, so that we can be invincible on the battlefield." ”
Subsequently, Wang Bingzhang moved to Shandong with his troops and opened up an anti-Japanese base behind enemy lines. He personally participated in and commanded key battles such as the Lufang Breakout. In the Lufang Breakout Battle, he calmly analyzed the enemy's situation and decisively formulated a breakthrough plan.
He said to the fighters: "Comrades, we must break out of the enemy's encirclement at the minimum cost, preserve our strength, and continue to resist Japan!" Under his command, the troops successfully broke through and made great contributions to the victory of the Eighth Route Army in the anti-Japanese struggle in Shandong.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Wang Bingzhang and Liu Yalou fought side by side, shouldering the important task of leading the flight unit to strictly train and improve the organ system, and were appointed chief of staff of the Air Force. In 1951, Wang Bingzhang accompanied Xu Xiangqian, chief of the General Staff, to the Soviet Union to negotiate the procurement of air force equipment.
In this contest of national interests, Wang Bingzhang adhered to the interests of the country, did not budge an inch, and conducted arduous negotiations with the Soviet side, and finally he succeeded in facilitating the signing of the contract for the revision of the MiG-15 fighter plane. Two years later, he was appointed First Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Air Force
Collect every piece of evidence that can prove itself
However, in 1971, a sudden accident was like a bolt from the blue, and Wang Bingzhang, then deputy director of the National Defense Science and Technology Commission, was involved in an unprecedented storm.
With the shocking exposure of Lin Biao's plane crash, a large number of confidential information of the National Defense Science and Technology Commission also surfaced, and Wang Bingzhang unfortunately became an innocent implicator in this storm. He was subjected to 10 years of organizational scrutiny and isolation, and his life fell into unprecedented difficulties.
In these long 10 years, Wang Bingzhang's body and mind have been greatly damaged. However, he never gave up hope of self-defense. Convinced of his innocence, he worked tirelessly to collect every piece of evidence that could prove him, and submitted one appeal after another to the organization. He longed for the day when he could set the record straight and restore his reputation.
However, the arrival of 1982 did not bring the results that Wang Bingzhang expected. Although he was eventually exempted from prosecution, he was inevitably removed from his position and forced to retire.
In his later years, although the organization provided him with basic living security, it was never able to give him a clear conclusion on some key issues.
This made Wang Bingzhang's heart full of regret and unwillingness. He was well aware of his innocence, but he could not get official recognition from the organization. This helplessness and pain stayed with him until the last moment of his life.
On September 25, 2005, Wang Bingzhang's life was coming to an end. On his deathbed, he left his last wish: "I must wait for the organization to make a final conclusion on me before I can be buried!" This is his last expectation and appeal for the organization, and it is also his insistence on his innocent background.
The family obeyed his last wishes and kept his body properly frozen and waited for the time to come. However, this wait has been 12 years. In the past 12 years, the family has always adhered to Wang Bingzhang's last wish, looking forward to the day when the organization can get the final conclusion of the organization.
In 2017, the superiors, as the "old Red Army" and the "party member cadre", held a late memorial ceremony for the revolutionary veteran, let us pay tribute to the great revolutionary ancestors!
